Pros

Work on a large range of projects. Friendly employees. Large growth strategy. Diverse work force.

Cons

No work life balance. They do not understand the definition of the word salary. They will ask you to set your hours you will be in the office for 40 hours. You will then work more than 40 hours and many Saturdays because they will allocate more work to you than can be completed in 40 hours. With that being said, if you are sick for example on Wednesday and took that day off, but still worked over 40 hours that week, possibly even on a Saturday. Ardabili will still dock you for 8 hours of PTO or sick time. When asked why they do this, they will state " You committed to being here during those hours but you were not. We appreciate that you worked extra hours to get all your projects completed, but you were not here on the hours you committed to so we must deduct you for that." They are trying very hard to make a quality environment but have gotten waay off track and do not see that. It is a fast paced industry and everyone makes mistakes. When a mistake does occur, the management will spend 3/4 times more time and effort into singling someone out and making a spectacle out of it than just correcting the problem, getting paid and moving on. There is no consistency in the QC process. Your drawings will be graded and you will find yourself scratching your head often. What was a great idea one day gets criticized and ridiculed the next week. I can continue on, but the more I type, the more blessed I feel I left.

Thank you for the feedback, we take each piece of constructive criticism as an opportunity to improve our work culture. Ardebili Engineering is a service-based company which requires our employees to work a set schedule for clients to reach them and fulfill their needs. Our policies and procedures put in place (such as our PTO requirement) are to keep the expectation clear and the company organized. We do have sick time off separated from vacation PTO so that if there is an instance where you need to care for a sick one or personally take time off, employees are able to do so without taking time out of their earned vacation time. We encourage one another to take PTO and emphasize the importance of doing so. Ardebili Engineering works in a multitude of sectors. We appreciate the opportunity to help our community by working on smaller TI projects for new business owners which may be what is referred to as “bottom of the barrel projects” instead, we see these as opportunities to help the community grow by providing our services. Lastly, Ardebili Engineering focuses on the quality of product produced. Our design services are setting the stage for construction which has an undeniable factor of cost to owners. If we find the product is not of best quality, we find out where there was a gap in the process and provide additional training and guidance. Overall, we find this feedback helpful and will continue to find ways to enforce the importance of taking time off along with providing criticism in a constructive manner so individuals do not feel singled out. We appreciate you taking the time to provide a Glassdoor review, thank you.

A Disappointing Experience

Pros

Some of the team members were friendly and hardworking, which made working here bearable.

Cons

Poor Management: Leadership lacked transparency, often providing little to no guidance, and communication was severely lacking. It felt like upper management was disconnected from the employees and never took the time to address concerns or provide clear direction. Toxic Work Culture: The atmosphere was negative, and there was an overwhelming sense of favoritism that created unnecessary tension between employees. Unrealistic Expectations: Employees were expected to work long hours without appropriate compensation. There was no work-life balance and the management was completely ok with it (but just for the designers). Management may send a message on a random Saturday or Sunday asking you to work, and when you don’t respond, they may get upset and try to punish you in some way. There is no respect for employees' time with their families or loved ones, nor for their personal boundaries Other reasons: One of the most frustrating aspects of working here was the clear disconnect between management and employees. If you weren’t personally close to the leadership team, your opinions and feedback seemed to hold little to no value. Concerns or ideas shared were often ignored or dismissed. Every time I talk to another former employee, they all share the same feeling of relief and even a sense of blessing that they left this company. Many have expressed that leaving was one of the best decisions they ever made, and it's clear that the toxic work environment, lack of support, unpaid overwork and poor management were significant factors in their departure. It’s almost as if the weight was lifted once they moved on, and they’re grateful to have disconnected from this place. The shared sentiment among former employees only reinforces how deeply bad the company’s culture and leadership truly were. I could write many more reasons, but I don’t want to spend more time on it here. Just one final addition to my opinion: the other negative reviews are completely accurate, and yes, I believe the positive reviews were likely written by management.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Upon review, this post closely mirrors a recent submission and appears to come from a former employee, based on specific language and sentiments that were frequently expressed during their time here. While we value all feedback, it's important to clarify that Ardebili Engineering made every effort to support this individual throughout their employment. When concerns were raised or help was requested, we exhausted all available resources to accommodate and assist them. However, despite our efforts, the situation did not improve, and ultimately, we made no further attempts to retain them, as it became clear the relationship was no longer mutually beneficial. We agree wholeheartedly that respect, transparency, and employee development are core to a strong organization. Respect, however, must go both ways. When an employee routinely calls out with little notice or informs the team of appointments at the last minute—leaving others to cover their responsibilities—it disrupts operations and undermines the respect we strive to show each other daily. Transparency is a key value at Ardebili Engineering. Our leadership consistently communicates company initiatives, operational updates, and even financial information to ensure all team members feel included and informed. To claim a lack of transparency while offering minimal feedback during employment feels disingenuous and contrary to our experience with this individual. Lastly, employee development is one of our proudest commitments. We've hired and mentored individuals with little to no prior experience, investing substantial time and resources into their professional growth. From one-on-one mentorship with licensed engineers to weekly lunch-and-learns and hands-on project involvement, we've cultivated an environment that prioritizes learning and long-term career development. To see those efforts dismissed in this manner is disheartening to the many people here who contribute to that mission. We won’t be commenting further on this matter, but we remain focused on maintaining a positive, respectful, and growth-oriented work environment. We’re proud of the team we’ve built and grateful for the many current and former employees who recognize and uphold these values.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, though we must address some inaccuracies in your review. Firstly, the claim that we employ invasive tactics such as monitoring employees through computer cameras is simply false. We maintain a strict commitment to privacy and uphold ethical standards within our organization. Furthermore, your assertion that all reviews on our platform are fabricated by management is entirely baseless. We have legitimate, verified reviews (by Glassdoor) from Project Managers, both current and former, who have shared positive experiences with us. It is disappointing that your time with us was unsatisfactory, and we acknowledge that there was a clear misalignment between your values and our company culture, as evidenced by your actions during your brief tenure (3 weeks). We are actively reviewing our interview processes to ensure that they effectively screen for candidates who share our core values and are genuinely committed to their roles, rather than those seeking to coast while receiving premium compensation. We regret the abrupt manner in which you left the company, submitting your resignation letter and departing without notice. We expect professionalism and open communication during employee transitions, and your actions did not reflect these standards. While your time here may not have been a positive experience, we hope you find more alignment with your values in your future endeavors.
