    Pros

The people are great and its a friendly working atmosphere. Arriva has excellent rates of pay and a good benefits package.

    Cons

There can be some very tight deadlines which are a challenge and working extra hours is sometimes required. Additional information is often asked for at short notice.

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation. A simple thankyou goes a long way.

I worked at Arriva Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Bus pass is useful - Otherwise nothing else

    Cons

Trade Union are bullying and treat managers with contempt . However the Head of Arriva Midlands truly believes he has a special relationship with Unite - Utterly ridiculous - Special relationships like that you can , believe me do without

    Advice to Management

Wake up and smell the coffee - The business needs to change and forget the 21st century , migrating into the 20th century would be a good start.

I worked at Arriva Group full-time

    Pros

Was a bus driver for over 10 years.
-Great benefits including free bus travel for family
    -Good routine of shifts
    -Other colleagues are fantastic

    Cons

-Passengers can be very rude and even aggressive. If they refuse to be in the wrong they report you and make up stories. Which is why after all these years I get the sack

-Company does not seem to care about us drivers, they care more about the profits they make from us doing the job

    -Expected to meet unrealistic targets

-There are lots of rules they have put in place. But when others try to break the rules and you defend yourself you are suspended for doing your job right.

(Customer tried to get on board with the wrong ticket. I tried to help her. So if the ticket inspector comes on and sees she’s got the wrong ticket she and myself would get in trouble). I tried to avoid this from happening. But instead the passenger got aggressive and reported me. Therefore I lost my job for doing my job.

-Heard other stories that management would rather have an accident then dropping off passengers safely. So if you are not able to get to the bus stop without risking an accident you are suspended.

    Stupid company. Flawed management.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the bus drivers who actually make you Rich
