Pros

Only pro is you can vape in the office. Everything else sucks

Cons

This job sucks. They get you by telling you that you will be a business owner within 1-2 years, which hasn’t happened to anyone since they started. You go door to door trying to sell century link and direct TV till 8pm everyday except Sunday. You work in the cold, the rain, and the snow. Everyone in the office wears a suit and tie to look professional for new candidates that have interviews, but once they leave you get to change into a century link or direct TV shirt. Base pay sucks, and if you make less than 3 sales a week, you don’t get base pay. So you can basically go for weeks working almost 60 hours and make nothing. The first two weeks you start, you don’t make a single dollar. If your very passionate about your career I don’t recommend you waste your time here. They literally hire anyone that walks through the doors. This company is basically a pyramid scheme. HONESTLY STAY AWAY. Also almost half of the people I started with don’t work here anymore, everyone stays for a good month then decides they wasted there time and basically made between $100-300 the entire month. You will make more money working at Chick-fil-A.

The truth is that we only promote from within, so every single manager has started in the direct sales role. Many of those managers go on to run their own offices. Opportunity for advancement within our company is very real, and not the proverbial dangling carrot you have suggested. I’m sorry that you felt misled as to what you were signing up for. We try to be very clear about the job and what it entails in our multiple interview process, new hire paperwork and extensive training program. You may complain about “the cold, the rain, and the snow”, but most of our team loves having a job that doesn’t keep them stuck inside an office all day. Sometimes you get out what you put in, and it sounds like your negativity may have affected your ability to produce results. We always do our best to keep the atmosphere upbeat and provide additional training to those who would benefit. I wish you took advantage of the opportunity for ongoing support because we want to see all of our team members thrive!

Pros

The people are very friendly though that's not really a pro because they have to be overly friendly to suck you into their scam.

Cons

This is not an office job. You will be going door to door all day for little to no pay. You only get paid for sales which are few and far between. Minimum wage at a fast food joint will pay more I promise. They probably told you they are hiring quickly (note that they have over 600 applications on linked in) and scheduled an interview the next day. If you go to that one they will invite you back for a second on the same day. If you don't believe me, go to the interview and ask what you will specifically be doing and how much it pays, both are very reasonable questions to ask in any professional interview. Do your research. There are companies like this (probably all the same parent company) all over the country, most close quickly. Another give away is that there is no way to ask about buying their services on their website if you are another company looking for business consultants. There is only a link to apply for a job there. Steer clear of this place, it's hard enough finding a job without clowns like this taking advantage of you. Good luck out there.

First, thank you for taking the time to review our company. Before I get into responding to your review, I want to confess that one of my least favorite things about running a business is taking time away from my team to respond to reviews like this. We definitely have NEVER told anyone this is an office job. We break down every single part of what someone will be doing on a day to day basis during all three rounds of our interview process. We also go over the opportunity to advance and move up within the company. The first thing we tell any candidate is that this is a merit based position in a merit based company. In a nutshell, if someone works hard, they will make more money and move up. If someone does not have a good work ethic and attitude, they will struggle. As for the earning potential, we have multiple people in our office pacing over $50,000 for this year in an entry level position. I am not sure, but I think that is more than minimum wage at a fast food joint. I actually looked into it and minimum wage is $8.31 in Colorado which means someone will make around $332 for a full week. We have people here consistently making 3 times more than that per week— which perhaps you would have been aware of if you were in our office for more than one week. Again, we teach simple entry level sales. If someone is not able to maintain their attitude, it will hurt their performance and their opportunity. Sorry…. You do make one good point; our interview process is very quick. We have an accelerated interview process because we do not feel we should wait 3 weeks to call people back if they are going to be a great addition to our team. We are growing and we feel that it is actually a very good thing if people are looking for a new opportunity. Who wants to wait 3 or 4 weeks to get a call back and start making money??? No one. That’s who. Right now we currently have a contract with a Fortune 100 company. We are not looking to acquire another contract at this time, as we are fully committed to the one we have. It is certainly a failure on our part that somehow someone such as yourself had gone through all three rounds of our interview process, trained with us for 6 full days, shadowed our experienced trainers for multiple days, and can still be confused about what we do or how we do it. Again, we apologize you did not have a great experience here. Our team prides itself on phenomenal training, relationship building, and continued mentorship. Our deepest regret is anyone leaving our team not having experienced this. If anything, from this review we will be more thorough moving forward in our coaching and expectations. In reference to your advice to management, we will never stop looking at ourselves in the mirror. Derek Zoolander said it the best when he said, "Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?” We wish you all the luck with all your future endeavors Anonymous.

Quit ASAP

Pros

Fun work environment, nice (not sure if genuine though) staff.

Cons

"Face to face"/"Direct marketing" = door to door sales for cable and internet bordering on harassment. I was extremely uncomfortable and embarassed on my first day "in the field." My trainer was overly aggressive and rude while trying to sell. I find this type of sale tactic intrusive and would not have taken the job if I had known what Atlas' idea of "face to face" is. I was so ashamed and embarrassed after being with my trainer for a few hours that I straight up left, quit, and went home. Initially, the CEO seemed nice and professional and was going to be a "pro", but after reading her nasty and immature replies on this website, I have decided against listing her as a positive aspect of the job.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts about your experience at Atlas Consulting Group. While we're sorry to hear our "face-to-face" approach didn't quite match your expectations, we wanted to respond to your feedback in a light-hearted manner. Firstly, kudos to you for sticking around for over a year! It's clear you've got endurance, and we respect that. We understand that door-to-door sales aren't everyone's cup of tea, but hey, it keeps us on our toes—both literally and metaphorically. Your mention of our "not sure if genuine though" staff made us chuckle. Rest assured, authenticity is our middle name, right after "Atlas." We'll take your "fun work environment" compliment, genuine or not, and run with it! Now, about our CEO's replies – we're all a big family here, and sometimes we express ourselves in a way that may seem a tad spirited. But hey, we appreciate the reminder to keep things professional. We're sending her to a "responding to reviews" etiquette workshop ASAP. Your advice is golden—transparent communication is key. We're committed to refining our messaging, making sure everyone knows exactly what they're signing up for, sales included. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors, and if you ever miss the face-to-face action, remember we're just a greeting away! Cheers, The Atlas Consulting Group Team
