Terrible senior leadership UK

Pros

- in office 2 days a week - free lunch when in the office - nice employees who I enjoyed spending time with

Cons

- senior leadership of international was terrible - he would flaunt and show off his expensive items, lie and dangle carrots of progression, show favouritism to men and would create a toxic environment of stress. Meanwhile he never seemed to know what was going on in other teams, he only cared about the enterprise sales team and even then didn’t have a clue. - The success of the UK office should not be attributed to this man but to his employees who work themself to the bone

Pros

Monthly fitness reimbursement, decent healthcare plans

Cons

Wow, not sure where to begin. This company simply does not care about the employee experience at all. Further the product is absolutely failing in the market. I do not trust for one second that Attentive will ever IPO and if it does, the stock will be a joke. If your offer is in any way padded with RSUs, run because you’ll never see that money. Leadership is disorganized and everyone is unhappy. People talk so much crap behind others’ backs.

Pros

Decent pay and great product to sell

Cons

There are so many to name. In the short few months I've been here it has been nothing short of depressing. The team is over worked, they rarely get time to have lunch, or even a coffee break, and consistently work additional hours. There is no morale, and it's been the most depressing office I've ever stepped foot in. Senior management make you come into the office 2x week but there is no effort to utilize this time to collaborate, bond or anything else for that matter - so it makes the exercise very counter productive. Oh, and they also have a seating plan like in school - so bizarre! Beyond this, management are inexperienced in leadership, lack long term thinking, and really don't understand how to run a team. This lack of skillet has created a hostile environment, where those that are toxic are highly valued. And when their toxic behavior has been raised, management are quick to brush it under the carpet and never speak of it again, even though this toxic individual has had a negative impact on every member of the team' especially if you're female. It's the first time in my career that I've experienced a misogynistic individual in the workplace, and I have to say Attentive have a lot of work to do with their culture and understanding what true equality and equality really is. A lot of women left the London office, because of toxic masculinity. Someone win HR needs to take control and really make an effort if you want to cultivate a positive working culture. But, I'm not really sure they care about their employees well-being - I mean the CEO even said in an all hands once that we should all work late into the night, even midnight if we have to. If you value work life balance, true equity and diversity and a positive and collaborative working environment then look else where. This is not that!

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience. We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment, and it’s disheartening to hear that your experience with Attentive has not met your expectations. First and foremost, Attentive is deeply committed to promoting gender parity and fostering a psychologically safe workplace free from discrimination. We take all concerns regarding toxic behavior seriously and have dedicated resources, including our People Business Partners, ERGs, and DEI&B team, to address such issues promptly. An open-door policy is in place to encourage everyone to speak up if something feels off. Regarding work-life balance, we acknowledge the importance of maintaining a healthy equilibrium between professional and personal life. Our unlimited PTO policy, winter breaks, holidays, and other initiatives are designed to support this balance. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your perception of our London office. In 2024, we are actively working to enhance the sense of connection and collaboration through regular events and remote-centric programming. We believe these efforts will contribute to making the office a more engaging and positive place. Thank you again for your insights, and best of luck in your future endeavors.
