Don't even consider it - nobody cares about you.

Pros

Cool product conceptually Good location Great co-workers (while they're there)

Cons

Looks great from the outside in - once you're hired you quickly realize upper management is disorganized, don't take employees seriously, and care little about communication. We're talking basic communication. You'll be having nightmares and looking over your shoulder constantly - will I be the next person shown the door? It doesn't matter your tenure, if you make more than someone they hired on the cheap, you're out. Don't be fooled by the recent positive reviews - have a hunch that marketing saw the horrible comments about product and culture and scrambled to add a few positive reviews from upper managements personal friends who are current employees. CEO all over the place, it's obvious he's had no prior experience growing a company, which hurts both employees and customers alike. You may even be blatantly lied to about your performance and job security (if they even take the time to talk to you, period). Give it a year before considering working here, maybe they'll have figured it out by then..

Pros

at least 5 words and nothing more

Cons

Founders have little sales DNA or sales focused culture Product rewrite left the company with nothing to sell and knowingly left existing customers with an unsupported product Completely oversold new hires on comp and opportunities Going in to a highly competitive marketplace with large established encumbents (marketo, eloqua, salesforce) means execution and customer delight is everything and they can't do either of those well.

Pros

Interesting space and some good people there, for now. Product demos well and looks good in theory. Location is somewhat convenient

Cons

In practice there were numerous issues. Leadership does not communicate with each other let alone the rank and file employees. People are hired and fired at an alarming rate with little to no communication from anyone in "leadership". The CEO is in way over his head and was not able to outline any consistent vision for the company.

Autopilot HQ Response

Thanks for the candid response. We recently shifted our product and business focus in response to the changing consumer preference for software that is easy to try, easy to buy, easy to use. This meant that in Q3 2014, we refocused internally to support more of a self-service strategy, which required restructuring sales and marketing. We also brought on a new addition to the management team who has considerable experience in building & growing companies, and we are excited to have him on board. Creating career growth opportunities for our talented team is our top priority and an important measure of Autopilot’s success. We are excited about the future of marketing automation, and for what Autopilot's has in store for the industry (including a new platform). We're actively hiring in marketing, engineering, and customer success.
