Pros

Well, I've driven one decent car since I started in May 2018. Most of the other drivers are genuinely nice people.

Cons

Pay. Absolutely appealing. Don't believe what the recruiters tell you. I got told I could easily earn £550-750 gross per week if I was willing to put the hours in. Which I always am. I was paid £15.50 one week. I was a little surprised to say the least. They actually have a company policy of refusing expense payments, even "authorised" payments. To me this negates the point of having an authorisation system in place and seems at the very least predatory in its existence and implementation. Most controllers or accounts people in the office will speak to you in an extremely patronising way and explain business terms etc in a child like way. Regardless of whether you've previously run your own business or directed businesses in the past for others. Be prepared for an 18 year old in an office in Birmingham to tell you "I know this might be difficult for you to understand but..." They'll send you out hundreds of miles away from home and then when the car isn't available to return, they act like it's your problem. My advice would be to avoid working for this company at all costs. You WILL end up out of pocket due to predatory expenses policies. Sometimes it takes 6-8 weeks to be paid for certain jobs, even though no one in the office can give a reason as to why. I had 3 cars in the "care" of BCA in my car park at one point and was told that I was being unreasonable by asking them to pay me storage fees, when they are charging the customer for exactly that.

Pros

None: but here is a tip: Before you deliver a car and get it signed off call BCA controller and ask where and when my next car or lift is ready to take me to my next car pick up. If BCA say there is not one and you have to make your own way home then say this to the controller at BCA. I have not delivered the car and I will use the car to drive myself back home with. If you do not get me a lift to my next car pick up then BCA will not be paid for the car I am supposed to deliver. Then faced with that BCA will find you a lift to your next car pick up or lift home.

Cons

Controller lied constantly about a pick up car available at my destination. Result Stranded in Bristol overnight, also Hawick Scotland. The wage is awful and ended up at a loss because of all the train and bus fares I had to pay myself.

Pros

Taking Cars home as carry overs.

Cons

From the get go you're just left to your own recourse and are given 2 days training when it should actually be weeks. I was recruited through a scheme at the job centre and although we had 2 weeks of training but an individual who had never done the job himself we had no clue and were just left to fend for ourselves. This company was the worst experience of my life. Their was only one good day in 4 months of work where I was paired up with another drive to go out on collections. I would get sent all mover the country and would have to hitchhike or walk and take public transport which We were expected to pay from our own pocket. They say they will pay you if a job is cancelled but never did, the controllers are rude and arrogant will not help you! I should have listened to the appalling reviews to start with but really wanted a job and we were told that they have had a company restructure and those comments are competition firms and old reviews! When in all trailer we are lied to and exploited daily by BCA! BE WARNED DO NOT WORK AS A TRADEPlATER for this Crooked firm! FYI I worked during May of 2014 if they try and tell you their bare faced lies!!
