Pros

-Co-workers below the executive level were great. -Well stocked kitchen and weekly provided lunch.

Cons

- Not nearly as good a product as we're to make it sound. -An almost complete lack of ethics. -The irony of Bambee being an HR company is almost impossible to take seriously. - Company culture: the office drama they think you don't know but you do sounds like something out of an unrealistic CW show. - At the end of the day, they really don't care about you, the person. The way they let me go was just ridiculous; we don't need to delve in the specifics but it confirmed everything I thought about them as people. - You're encouraged to deceive and scare small business owners into thinking they need this service; a service that's not going to be nearly as helpful or convenient as we are making them believe.

Pros

Initially, the compensation appears to be on-par with your position. However, you quickly learn that they are getting your services at a discount, because of the sheer volume and degree, to which they expect for you to contribute above and beyond what you were hired for. The benefits are actually really good. The company can appear to be a great place for HR-professionals seeking to gain experience. However, you quickly learn that the HR is tertiary to customer service and sales, which is why so many clients were (and are) upset about the sub-par delivery of HR guidance and support.

Cons

*The following critiques are based on the experience of former colleagues and coworkers, more so than my own. While I did experience what is described within this review, what I witnesses occur and happen to others was exponentially worse.* Management at ALL levels. - Discriminatory and Insensitive - Hostile - Inexperienced - At times, perform tasks and projects that are borderline illegal, but definitely unethical - Destroys the morale within the teams, where everyone is holding on to their position for the seniority, but is counting down the days to when they can leave the company Further, the company is not financially sound and will do whatever it takes to present themselves as viable to potential investors, even if that means effing-over their employees. To future employees, beware of this shark tank of a business, as they will take you strengths, siphon them and discard you with no hesitation or remorse.

The Trump Organization of HR Tech

Pros

There really are not any worth mentioning.

Cons

This company is the ultimate con. Everyone gets taken advantage of including customers, employees and vendors. NOT A TECH COMPANY Bambee is just an understaffed HR call center. There is minimal tech and what is in place rarely works. The “tech” is mostly just a ticketing system that routes customers to human HR managers working at Bambee. Very little HR guidance is automated despite what you are told before joining. The ‘10,000’ customers we advertise we have on the platform only get support from 15 internal HR managers and that number shrinks with every round of layoffs. This means most of our customers wait days or never hear back from Bambee on critical HR and payroll issues. CULTURE OF FEAR AND BLAME The CEO has an ego as big as Trump and has built a culture of fear and blame. His mood fluctuates wildly between days along with his ability to take feedback or negative news. Some days he dances and sings through the office making uncomfortable comments to staff, others he comes in and immediately starts berating people, while others he does not show up at all and cancels all meetings. This has created a workplace where employees fear sharing misses and leaders that put a positive spin on projects that are not working to protect their own butts. I have seen executives debate with each other over who tells him what and when, and who should take the fall for misses. PRODUCTS DO NOT WORK The roadmap changes so quickly and with such impossible deadlines that most releases are filled with bugs or launched incomplete. We do not dedicate time to fixing major issues and leave customers and front-line employees to deal with the aftermath. This would be a bad strategy at a normal tech company, but at a “HR tech” company that sells payroll, it is extremely irresponsible. As we continue to cut both developer and front-line staff in layoffs, this problem is snowballing out of control. HR DOES NOT SUPPORT OR OWN PROBLEMS Despite being an HR company, our internal HR is mostly ineffective. We are a full in-office company, but internal HR is rarely available or physically in the office. While they are very nice people, they are slow to communicate and full of misinformation. When confronted with errors or issues their default is to blame someone else, usually consisting of a more senior member of their own team or pointing the finger at the CEO and saying they can not do anything.

Bambee Response

While we appreciate your input, it's important to clarify that our culture is built on accountability rather than fear and blame. We believe in a culture where team members take responsibility for their actions and outcomes, with a focus on learning and improvement. When challenges arise, we see them as opportunities to learn, grow, and make positive changes. We are committed to fostering an environment where constructive feedback and problem-solving are encouraged. In terms of our rapidly changing product roadmaps and tight deadlines, we understand that in today's fast-paced tech landscape, adaptability is essential, and our agile approach allows us to respond swiftly to market and customer demands. However, we acknowledge that this agility should not compromise the quality of our releases. We are continually investing in improving our development and testing processes to mitigate these challenges. Innovation can sometimes be a bumpy road, but we're dedicated to ensuring that our customers receive the high-quality products they deserve. At Bambee, our internal HR team plays a crucial role in nurturing our company culture and ensuring that it aligns with our values. They are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every team member can thrive. HR is also instrumental in providing resources, support, and opportunities for professional growth and development. Your feedback motivates us to further strengthen our culture of accountability and to continue enhancing our products. We encourage you to reach out to HR or management if you have any specific concerns or suggestions to help us improve further.
