Pros

If you are looking to learn office political skills and how to manage your office time without doing any real work, this is the right place for you

Cons

Not a place for a well-qualified and aspirational product person. The company is an ops company with a very average product. They are not serious about building a good product but rather it is a support function to the ops team. The product team is also broken to its core with the head of the department a completely brainless person with no sense of management or work style. He has no prior product knowledge and only survives by licking the founders' boots. You cannot take any input or suggestions from him if you are stuck. On the contrary, he will throw you under the bus from time to time. 4 people resigned within a span of 1 month under him. What else can you expect from a person who stopped the promotion of every member of the team just to get himself promoted? He is a self-proclaimed leader. with zero leadership skills who will never back you as a manager and has put people in a Performance Improvement Plan for taking leaves for just 3 days after getting seriously sick. I would never recommend working under him. He can't go anywhere else as he will not get any other job but you should definitely look for a better option rather than work under such a person

Pros

I joined the company with high hopes for personal and professional growth, especially in the exciting field of electric vehicles. However, my experience has been less than ideal, marked by several challenges that I feel compelled to share.

Cons

One noticeable issue is the lack of a conducive learning environment. The emphasis on appeasing higher-ups seems to overshadow genuine contributions, hindering the overall learning experience. If you're interested in observing organizational dynamics from this perspective, it could be an insightful experience. Additionally, there's a tendency to micromanage, with a disproportionate emphasis on maintaining a strong physical presence in the product room. Unfortunately, this focus doesn't always translate into proportional output. Communication within the product team tends to be indirect, with key updates often channelled through specific individuals, creating barriers to open collaboration. The products developed by the company, despite being in the EV space, have not met the standards one would expect. This is attributed to the relative newness and limited experience of the person leading the product team. It's evident that the team restructuring efforts have not yielded the desired results, and the focus appears to be more on identifying problems than finding constructive solutions. One aspect of concern is the leader's meticulous attention to non-essential details, such as maintaining a minute-by-minute ledger of team members' whereabouts, holidays taken, and breaks. However, this meticulousness doesn't extend to tracking tasks or developing a comprehensive product roadmap. Furthermore, the leader's approach to setbacks and failures is concerning. While some decisions are approved by the leader, any failures are often scapegoated onto team members. The leader's tendency to compare compensation within the team and highlight personal grievances in team discussions creates a divisive atmosphere. In light of these challenges, I encourage potential employees to thoroughly assess the organizational dynamics and external environment before joining. Understanding the root causes of these issues is crucial for making an informed decision about your professional journey.

Pros

- EV - Some department heads are really good to work with and are working with the right intent. - Sorry cant think of anything else

Cons

- Extremely toxic top management - Super micro management - Appreciation and recognition to only who are good at licking founder's boots - you have to kill your self respect if you have to work here - its a top to bottom culture, infact many department leads also have a zero say - you are happy if you keep the founders happy - definitely not a very healthy and happy place to work
