Pros

They are located close to where you'll interview. They pay their leases with your earned wages

Cons

Modern day slavery. If you are looking to get a job at a company through BSS, make sure you're alright with them leaching $5 out of every hour you work. You heard it right. They actually take your resume, tack their name on the top as their "ownership" over you, and take money out of every one of your pay checks. The only advice they give you before the interviews is basic general nonesense you learn your freshman year in Comm 101, such as "wear a tie and brush your teeth". This company is literally useless. They will argue with "without us, you guys wouldnt get a job" but in reality, all they do is hand your resume in. The employment laws havent caught up to this type of temp Industry. Mark my words, this form of industry will be illegal in the near future. Avoid them at all costs.

Pros

They were able to get me an interview without much effort from me.

Cons

I was reached out by a recruiter and offered an interview at a private bank. I was told that it would be a temp to perm role for 3-6 months. This was a lie. I worked extremely hard for 8 months with nothing but positive feedback from management but was not offered a job due to the other company being cheap as well. Both Bay State Search and this company took advantage of a recent graduate and offered me minimal pay. I was naive not to negotiate a higher pay, but at the time I was a recent graduate and scared to even try. If you do go through them you should 100% negotiate because another coworker was making 10$ more/hour than me through her recruiting company. It was a mistake to go through this company and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Pros

Found me a position quickly The people are super nice They have paid on time thus far

Cons

Onboarding was a nightmare- nothing was timely, and I had to ask for things that shouldn't be left to me to ask for. My recruiter was nice, but incredibly pushy. I get that their pay depends on us, but it made me hesitant to accept the offer.
