Pros

I made some nice people, learned a lot about the industry, and was promoted quickly.

Cons

Let's see...I had to get in contact with HR twice before deciding to leave. Management was ineffective, and part of the problem. Being a woman of color, i stood out like a sore thumb and was treated as such. Coworkers berating me, putting their hands in my hair, asking inappropriate questions, and overall being treated as if I did not belong. Upon speaking to the showroom supervisor, nothing came about because of the social relationship between management and the employees in question. Upper management spoke about acceptable behaviors but on occasion I have heard them speak down to employees and say nasty things. I knew it was time for me to leave when I began to wake up in the morning irritated and already defensive about what coworker would be saying something offensive. I'll also note that on the day that I put in my 2 weeks, a coworker said something disgustingly racist about a customer, and that is how I knew I was making the right decision.

Pros

The company sells a lot of great high end brands so you learn a lot about the product on the market. Depending on the branch co-workers are very supportive and helpful.

Cons

Pay. The company is very opaque about the commission/hourly pay structure. They make it sound like it's base + commission but it's not. You have to cover what you get paid hourly by your commission before you earn commission and if you don't cover your quarter you go into the negative for the next quarter. Also, you only get a commission check once every four months. Also, the benefits are very expensive if you have a family, which makes this job unsustainable for anyone supporting a family. There is also not enough administrative support. The company seems to be unwilling to pay for support positions so the sales and purchasing teams are often overwhelmed with work.

Pros

There are none, this place is awful.

Cons

Pay is awful, management is hypocritical, unfair treatment, no one advances and the environment is toxic.
