Pros

Small classes, opportunity to interact with students in small groups or one-on-one and to have an actual impact on their career development.

Cons

Faculty are absolutely not valued by administration which is a detriment to work morale. More teaching than in a community college with too little pay. Management sometimes demands extra teaching hours without paying overtime. A valid tenure and promotion manual doesn't exist, and promotions are seemingly given according to sympathy. Most faculty are on one year contracts only. Plans for improvement usually turn out to be lip service. Also, no monetary resources for teaching are given by management. Buildings and facilities outdated to the point of posing safety risks. This may give an indication about the school's use of tuition money and makes one really question the "Everything for the students" mantra. It's hard to justify towards the students who expect more value for their money. The amount of tuition paid would, properly managed, easily allow for upgrades past those made in the Bronson era.

Pros

Absolutely no pros except you may be allowed to set your own work schedule if you supervisor is not a complete you know what..don't work here!

Cons

This is the absolutely worst place to work in America. Do NOT work here unless no one else (including McDonald's) is hiring. Nepotism is king here. If you are well liked you will be promoted and given raises regardless of your level of Education and skill set. If you are disliked, you will be harassed, manipulated, and overworked until you walkout in sheer frustration or terminated. My department chair does NOT have the skill set to do well in the position and my very fat Dean is petty, abusive, and manipulative. There is absolutely no respect for faculty. I feel like I work on a slave plantation. The administration is bloated beyond measure. At last count there are 11 BPs with only 3400 students. The faculty are severely overworked and severely underpaid and instead of appreciating the the service and dedication of the faculty the administration acts they are doing you a favor by giving you a job. The administration has no regard for policy or procedure.
