Cliquey, Drama, Success is 100% determined by the property you're at in terms of people and organization. If you have a bad manager or come into a bad site you won't succeed and will be punished. Corporate makes decisions without understanding the fundamentals at a site specific location. I had 4 different bosses over my last 6 months with the company and was told "I wasn't performing to the expectations of the assistant property manager." Well when you have 4 managers in 6 months you sort of have different expectations with each boss which can be corrected for. However with this company if you have this sort of chaos you're actually expected to succeed and be ready to be a property manager within months. I came from college with the promise of a "manager in training" sort position where I can work as an assistant for a year and then be assessed to see if I'm qualified to be a property manager. However at some point HR stops caring about what they promise their employees and fire them after they've gotten what they've needed from you. Terrible company in terms of understanding the human aspect of the job.
