When onboarding, they were all over the place. They had no existing completed files on their clients (only head knowledge of them), proper email lists, and did not even know the process of how to add physical ordered products to an existing shipping order in their warehouse, when trying to train me. This was a test guinea pig position. Details on job tasks left from prior "individuals", were not passed on. This was the same situation for event planning. It was expected to create master files of different categories from such lacking lists provided and had to connect with outside partners to help me fill in the blanks. There were no proper headphones to listen to meetings easier (had to book an available conference room or use your phone with earplugs if not). Also, expect to be talked at, not talked to by upper management in a demeaning way. You will be compared to previous hires continually during weekly and quarterly meetings. You will also be encouraged to "be the bigger person" by other enabling managers, to tolerate their disrespect given. Unfortunately, they choose favorites and are kind to them, while dismissing and being judgmental to others who are not their favorites. Unfortunately, many inappropriate conversational topics were talked about openly at the cubicles loudly, about other cross departmental employees in which were negative (mostly), and many times were about taboo topics, such as other coworker's sex lives and how they think other colleagues' performance isn't up to par and may not last, or how other people are "different" due to their disability; things that should not be gossiped about and spread. I've experienced managers bash each other in front of their colleagues and make inappropriate comments about others prior to meetings (such as saying they should be put on medicine to help them function). The company values are not upheld by management, even though an emphasis is placed on acting with the stated values of being positive, respectful, and a team player. The turnover is high in certain departments and have seen them terminate individuals abruptly as they please. As the saying goes, "people leave managers, not jobs". The marketing department is okay for the most part, except for unhealthy management. Also, the work environment can get very loud, so if you need a quiet place to work, you may want to reconsider, as there are close cubicle desks. Lastly, you can only have a 2-day WFH hybrid schedule if you "earn" it and they say it is a "privilege". The work culture could be better and there could be more diversity... This being said, this job was enjoyable for a short time until continual attitude and mistreatment was given, which worsened with time. Happy to not work there anymore!
