Worst Working Experience I've Ever Had

Pros

None, and I mean that quite literally. Unlimited time off, but a workload too large to use it. Great teammates that all leave too soon because they are just as tired and burnt out as you are. The constant revolving door of leadership is also unsettling.

Cons

Everything. The CEO could be used as a case study on how to run a business into the ground. If you aren't easy to control, he becomes intolerable and is not above tearing people down in order to make himself feel better. He gets off on having power over everyone, and changes his mind on a whim constantly, never giving thought to how his actions will impact the team. I have never worked with someone who played favorites so obviously, or who was so unaware of themself and how they are perceived. It's incredibly obvious that HR has asked newbies to the company to write these positive reviews. They asked me while I was at the company and I declined. The workload is not tolerable. The operations team is constantly on the verge of a breakdown, with team members crying every day. It's hectic, unorganized, and the management is all over you to make things happen, even when faced with obstacles that feel insurmountable.

Just... no.

Pros

If you work in a department that's mostly disconnected from the CEO (Tech/IT or HR), you MAY* get by at this company. If you are in one of these departments, you may even get to reap the benefits of the "unlimited" PTO policy (while it lasts; rumors abound it will soon be a thing of the past). If you are in any other department, there are virtually zero other pros here.

Cons

CEO is a garbage human; an actual sociopath. Gets off on firing many people very quickly, demoting folks when they reject his micromanaging, and, probably, reading these reviews. This company is NOT tech forward. Expect to work across many multiple sub-par platforms that are not (and never will be) integrated. "Tech" team seems to be there just for show, is asleep at the wheel, moves at a sloth's pace. There is no company culture here. The discomfort between senior management and their boss is palpable in every meeting, across every topic. Nobody has fun at this company and, in fact, the CEO directly targets those who easily get along with others. Middle managers are either miserable and driven into the ground or are ignoring the needs of the people on their teams in favor of over-actively vying for promotion into senior management. The Sales and Operations teams are constant revolving doors in staffing. Without fail, every time there's an employee exit, bizarre rumors, lies, and drama ensue. Keep in mind that the positive reviews seen in this forum have very obviously been prompted by HR. That said, life is probably pretty sweet on the HR team. Everything else is a dumpster fire.

In our constant search for feedback and improvement, we appreciate the information you have shared and would like to take the opportunity to address a few topics in your review. Unlimited PTO will continue to be a benefit at Blueprint. We believe that rest is a key component to our Core Value, Growth. Time away from work can be extremely helpful for maintaining a healthy work/life synergy. We encourage our leadership team to lead by example and take the appropriate time off to rest and recharge. We all work very hard in order to accomplish our goals, and we must reward ourselves with rest. As Blueprint continues to grow, we will continue to invest in process improvement, embrace technology, and move in one direction. As always, if you have any additional feedback for improvement you would like to share, please reach out to our People Operations team at people.resources@blueprinttitle.com.

Pros

-industry that is ripe for disruption. -clients who love the vision. -making progress with tech. -nice and friendly co-workers. -unlimited PTO (if you are in a department that is able to take advantage of it). -Work from home. -progressive, accepting, and inclusive company. -the potential/ability (keywords here) to improve an industry and bring modern and useful technology to the real estate title industry. -A necessary and smart Pivot to better customers. All-in-all, this is a good place to work if some of the cons get fixed, which is not impossible. Just a big "if".

Cons

-An absolutely terrible churn rate for clients (the exception here is the CEO's clients. Probably because no one wants to be responsible for losing a CEO's client). -Clients are always upset with our team. -Churn with leadership and employees. -Overworked operations team -Leadership/HR that refused to staff operations appropriately leading to the above point. -Culture has not been fun and lighthearted for a while. -Leadership glossing over management turnover as if it's unimportant (large announcements seem unempathetic)
