LOTS of people are leaving from all departments - sales reps, Managers, Policy team, Enterprise sales team, co-founders, directors, etc - and they are the ones who have been holding Booster together. In the last 6 months, most of the top people in each departments has left, leaving big holes within the organization.
New upper level leadership is all from Amazon or Uber, so they think they can change Booster into the next Amazon or Uber. Lots of ideas and growth strategies have been rolled out without any plans on how to implement them. New leadership thinks that customers will want to pay a premium for our service (see Amazon or Uber) but we literally are negotiating down to the penny off of a customer's fuel price to be competitive.
So far, all of these strategies have failed, so much so that they laid off a big group of people in July 2022 due to underperforming growth numbers. They hired too many people in 2021, while trying to get their next round of funding, to show big growth numbers, and now that they have finalized that funding round, they are scaling back down to reality. New markets that were supposed to be opened have been delayed due to the lack of sales, operational support, or policy issues that should have been known well in advance.
The sales team is very frustrated, I could easily see a mass exodus of sales reps in the near future.
On another note, the HR team is probably one of the least responsive I have ever worked with. It would take days to get a simple response from HR, if they would respond at all. Needing something from HR was a running joke within the team, you might as well just figure it out on your own. I'm sure someone from HR will respond to this post, as they have on others, with a generic response just to say they responded.
The 3.1 score on Glassdoor is lower than most companies in the area but is a good representation of where Booster is currently.
