Pros

Good opportunity to watch world-class performers, tickets to performances.

Cons

Extremely toxic work environment that encourages no work-life balance. Lack of honesty and transparency from School directors and upper management, although they button everything up to make it appear well put together from the outside. Lack of support from leadership and egotistical behavior is through the roof while work ethic to help employees is not there. Lack of communication, constantly keeping things a secret. Sad to see this organization come to this. Tough times either bring out of the best in people or the worst in people, and in this case it is definitely the latter when it comes to School Leadership. The very people who create problems are the same people who get more power and control over others.

Unfortunate School Management

Pros

Talented artists of the company to watch, access to live performances, and the ability to build great relationships and connections with other staff members.

Cons

Leadership of the School is out of touch with the best interests of their staff. They have diminished what was once a vibrant & exciting place to work. During challenging times, companies should be more communicative and supportive; It should bring out the best in people. This organization has done just the opposite. They are secretive with their plans, follow their own agendas without any regard for others, and lack the ability to actually implement concrete plans to move forward. It is inexcusable to claim anything otherwise when countless other dance organizations across the United States and abroad, with large and complex schools, are able to clearly & quickly come up with a new direction in a way that makes their employees want to stay onboard. People's livelihood depends on their actions. A massive turnover for the school falls squarely on the shoulders of the school leadership team and their decisions have been catastrophic for maintaining loyal employees. It is sad to see this organization take this fall because nothing will be done about those who sit at the top.
