Pros

If you are liked by regional management and stick it out for a few months you can make service manager and then store manager very quickly. You do not have to know a single thing about vehicle repair to work here.

Cons

I could write a book here. To start corrupt business practices from the techs all the way up to owners David and John. They will cheat, lie, and steal from customers, employees, and vendors to make a buck. There is no support or training of any kind. You are paid a very low base pay with a promise of big bonuses based on store performance, but the turnover is so high they move you every few weeks to a different store and you never get that bonus. You get no time off. EVER! You are demanded to open and close the store everyday unless you are lucky enough to be in a store with another manager that will actually show up to work for more than a few weeks then you get a half day maybe a full day off.

Pros

Customers were great and some technicians were too. Employee discounts were decent.

Cons

Hours were too long and not necessary. Supervisors were not capable of getting the best out you. Company hires too green of employees and the training takes too long. No succession planning, no development plan, no performance management. Cameras are watched by management who call the store to supervise.

Pros

A great place to begin a management position, if you are looking for manager 101 and are willing to work over 60 hours per week forever and give up your personal life to begin a management career, this may be the place for you. Income is good enough for a fist time manager, not a seasoned manager. Company will hire basically anyone who submits application. Nice place to begin career as an automotive technition, no experience required.

Cons

The upper management seems to be so wishy washy with changes in policy, as an employee on all store levels, ie. technitions, service managers, store directors, it's very difficult to maintain self confidence. Extremely high turnover rate at all levels, worst I've seen in 20 years of management. Employment ads are misrepresented and emlpoyees wont know until it's too late. Major lack in communication between corporate employees and store level management. The absolute best example of the term micromanagement, I have ever worked under.
