Pros

They pay okay and they are a great place to get a first job out of high school.

Cons

Well, my manager had me helping with drive through instead of working my station although I reminded them that I had things to do in grocery. Then, the district manager would come in and scream at me because somethings in grocery were not finished. Keep in mind, I was like 18 at the time and only worked weekends there and many of the things that he literally screamed at me for in front of customers with spit hitting my face actually should have been taken care of by weekday grocer. Like I would come Friday morning, spend an hour or two helping drive through then start working on grocery and then get screamed at about things that should have been done on Thursday. Cons would be unprofessional.

Pros

Definitely competitive pay, it makes it hard to try and find another place unless youre able to get out of retail. It might just be my district, but my GM has said before that if people want more money, they ask, and they do a god job, she'll give it.

Cons

It feels like Corporate itself is rather blind to what working in the store is like and doesnt care. We'll go weeks or months with something not being fixed, while at the same time they restrict and crack down on things such as small heaters being used during winter My District Manager is strict lady who harasses us, especially if shes had a bad day, and its difficult to feel like shes ever on our side. Corporate also will roll out competitions and incentives to Managers and higher while leaving nothing for the basic workers, which makes it hard to want to work and earn the goals they want us to when we know we won't get any reward ourselves

Pros

- predictably terrible - attracts personality types it's generally fun to work with - consistent across locations - flexible scheduling

Cons

- terrible regional and district managers - low pay for difficult work - you might get fired for things that aren't your fault - awful management - you might get fired for making a decision to prioritize safety during a freak blizzard and telling a few 16-18 year olds to not risk their life to come in to work

Pros

Its a job that's all

Cons

Worked there for 5 years and i was constantly going above and beyond for the company yet when i was pregnant i was told id lose my job if i didn't quit having to pee all the time and then right before i had my child i had severely swollen feet and simply asked to sit on a stool by the drive through window while taking orders. I was still doing all the prep, dishes, and (while standing) everything that was needed i just needed to sit down for a minute but managment didn't want any part of it. The district manager proceeds to tell me i needed to go ahead and go on maternity leave. So i did because i was upset with them. The day after i left for maternity leave my boss called me in and asked me to come work. Then when i got back i was not allowed to take time to pump as i was breastfeeding so they pretty much did me dirty... After 5 years of being a hard worker....

Pros

Multiple positions Full time gets paid vacation days and benefits Bonuses usually every paycheck Opportunity to move up Gain alot of experience in "training for the next spot" Work the same 3 week rotation schedule so you know you're days off for the whole year You always have at least one day off the weekend every week Grocery store is convenient when you get off late Same shift hours when full time 15% discount on everything

Cons

Short staffed and they don't care how it affects speed of service Not having a good schedule done because district manager pick them apart Their schedule goes off of sales last year regardless of what events are going on or what the weather is like this year or that staffing is different. (Ex: If there were experienced workers on shift this day a year ago and I have the same amount of people but half of them are new, speed of service won't be as good) No free meals They are willing to hire general managers who lack experience and the drive for the position

Pros

I believe this job was my big break through. I learned so much as a manager and friend. You have to have your crews respect to get the best outcome and we had it. I was out of our district in my first three more the as manager to have no disasters or labor. The experience was amazing. I was sent to school for my servesafe and till this day I'm proud of that and yes the pay was awsome but it was more about my crew my customers and getting my job done right and yea I think I did that well!!!

Cons

Banana splits WOW get an order thru drive thru of all places with eight banana splits of all different flavors and large shakes yes that would get crazy
