Solid non-profit to work for

Pros

Flexible work schedule - majority of staff are hybrid working up to 3 out of 5 days in office. Another pro is the benefits - health care is covered, there's unlimited PTO, summer and winter breaks, along with all holidays off.

Cons

Lack of diversity in age results in an imbalance of professional integrity and maturity overall. Additionally, as a young non-profit, Breaktime often moves too fast resulting in staff feeling overwhelmed with changes.

Pros

The mission is worthwhile and most non-leadership staff care

Cons

There's a reason why the reviews are negative. VPs and ED see staff as interchangeable, replaceable parts. Leadership has long ignored the basics of a functioning, solid nonprofit. Morale is constantly low due to challenging personalities of decision-makers. HR looks the other way. This is a very frustrating environment esp. if you care about data integrity, fair treatment of staff, and realistic expectations for workload.
