Cons

Their reply was: "With performance reviews conducted every six months and compensation evaluated every 18 months, employees have clear expectations upon hire as to performance review timelines and earning potential." While this is technically true, I'll translate to what the truth is. There are 3 levels of workers, Level 1, 2 and 3; and they each have criteria. Hitting Level 2 or 3 DOES NOT mean you get a big pay bump, it means you are eligible for consideration of the standard raise of 3% every 18 months (or 2% a year). Not hitting these goals (or hitting them) could mean you get a 0% raise (not even COLA). The Levels are not a way for an employee to advance, but a way for Brightwing to not pay competitive rates. Also, Brightwing says they are "at or below market rates as it relates to our benefits" (healthcare). I find it hard to believe that over $400 a month for health insurance is standard for a single person.

Pros

Entry level positions help new graduates gain training and experience in their field.

Cons

I had a miserable time working for Brightwing. I truly believe Brightwing along with the company I was contracted to prey on inexperienced candidates, so they can get underpaid labor. There is no work-life balance working with Brightwing. My underpaid position was high stress with a full work load. Unpaid time off—even due to sickness—was almost impossible to get, and paid time off was 5 days out of a calendar year, which is just ridiculous. I also dealt with extreme sexism both due to the company I worked for and Brightwing themselves. My Brightwing boss and HR did not care for the employees as much as Brightwing likes to say they do. I wouldn’t recommend contracting to Brightwing even for an entry level position. It is not worth the strain to your mental health or your pocketbook. My work was not valued with this company.

Pros

Always seemed like leadership was on the employees side and had our best interest at heart.

Cons

In the end ownership and president are always in it for themselves and although they talk about employees it is really about themselves.
