      Great parties, somewhat flexible schedule

      Cons

      What was a family-first business has become more focused on the bottom line. Fast-paced, high-stress work environment Raises are few and far between even with great performance reviews No room for advancement Management is inexperienced and it shows Fear of change throughout the company.

      Pros

      You get to say, "I work[ed] at Britten" which carries some razzle-dazzle around town for the older generations. You can learn how to cope in a toxic environment.

      Cons

      Poor management. Under-qualified senior staff making terrible decisions that impact processes, systems and day-to-day work. Dishonesty everywhere. Near-zero long-term prospects and overall stability fluctuates surprisingly often. Lots of "experts" who have no idea what they're actually doing. Most people are just playing the small-town "corporate" game for a paycheck or a line-item on a resume. Bullying and posturing are more common than compromise.

      Lots of good people. Perks like company meals, t-shirts, some parties.

      Cons

      Poor management style/structure - lack of follow through. Lots of waste. Some employees not receiving even cost of living raises for years on end.
