Pros

You learn a lot by working here.

Cons

Volatile Environment Bi-polar, insane, medicated, fault finder, blame...emotionally unstable...(just to name a few of the traits here)..if you work here, you are constantly walking on egg shells. Do NOT get caught up in the politics here. It's sad when your employees are treated like children instead of adults. The owner will come in yelling at people for a mistake instead of sitting down understanding what's wrong and coming up with solutions to make sure it doesn't happen again. A lot of times personal issues are taken out on the employees. Turnover rate is EXTREMELY HIGH. When interviewing if you ask that question, they will say most of our employees have been here 10+ years. (Note:) These are employees that are BFFs with the owner and started the company with her. Payroll Accounting HR Ask how long they've known each other. Then do a tour around the facility and ask each and every person how long have they been there and if they really like who they work for.

Thank you for your candid personal review of C2. The company’s executive team, and especially the CEO, want all employees to feel empowered to make great decisions that are in the best interest of our clients and to enjoy the work that we perform at C2. HR can sometimes be a stressful, deadline driven business -- particularly when you are serving many different clients throughout the country and overseas. But C2 strives to provide its employees with an intellectually challenging, yet collaborative work experience that will allow them to grow their professional expertise while providing C2 clients with first-class HR service. I assure you that the experience you describe in no way reflects the environment C2 wants to create for its employees. For example, you should absolutely not feel pressured to write good reviews of C2 or feel like you have to “walk on eggshells” around the office. While we encourage employees to share their experiences at C2 with others, employees are not expected and should not feel pressured to write positive reviews that they do not believe, nor should they feel like they cannot share their thoughts or ideas or that their contributions are not valuable. The CEO has an “open door” policy and is always willing to listen to ideas that will make C2 a better company or a better place to work. It therefore seems strange that you are a manager who has been with C2 for more than 8 years. Regardless, I would encourage you to make an appointment with the CEO to sit down and discuss your concerns directly.

Pros

Free parking. Casual dress. Can't think of anything else.

Cons

Extremely high turnover with lots of empty cubicles & offices. For an organization that specializes in HR services and practices, everything about this organization is further from that idealistic dream; think more workforce harassment and bullying behavior.

Pros

Medical, dental and vision insurance

Cons

1. Owner is unstable as they come. She goes from pleasant to screaming in 2.3 seconds. She rules by fear. Publicly screams at employees. Highly unprofessional. She gives women in business a bad name. 2. The office consists of mostly woman who are either gossiping or being catty 3. Micromanaged to the extreme. All email and correspondence monitored, as is the time away from your desk. 4. No advancement 5. Hostile environment

I'm not sure I recognize the company you are talking about or the Owner that you are talking about. I'm an employee, and I've never had the Owner scream at me or try to intimidate me with fear. Furthermore, I know that you were not at C2 very long, but the advancement opportunities exist. Outside of the Owner (who is female), three of the other four top managers at the company are female -- and have been with C2 for many years (having been promoted along the way). Your direct supervisor when you were at C2 (who is male) has been with C2 for many years and has been promoted multiple times. Furthermore, I'm not sure how you would know anything about the Owner's personality. The Owner was not your direct supervisor; she is hardly ever in the office; and you had virtually no direct contact with her. So, I'm unclear how you could have gotten to know her well enough to comment on her personality or management style. Women have a tough enough time in the business world without other women trying to undercut them with personal, negative attacks that simply aren't true. The Owner is a strong leader with a strong personality; and I'm sorry you did not enjoy working at C2. But your mischaracterization of the Owner's demeanor and attacks on her personality are simply out of bounds.
