Poor communication, make false promises of promotion to push as far as they can, do not promote from within, do not value talent they have but value people who don’t speak up and ‘rock the boat’ - they don’t like change. Environment depletes creativity - no collaboration, people work in silos and are more concerned about covering their backs than doing something of quality. Upper management can be dictatorial and live in their own bubble. People who play the political game and ‘blend in’ will do well. Account driven approach and ‘do as you are told’ environment that kills good work.
