Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback. I can see you felt strongly about your experience and I appreciate the candour, even where it is challenging.
The District Manager role does involve travel and there are real costs that come with working across a large territory, especially in Western Canada. We are constantly reviewing our salary levels, our allowances for costs and our commission and bonus rates to try to keep up. But there is no question that inflationary pressures have created additional challenges for everyone.
In fact, we are just making another change in District Manager compensation, on top of the new bonus model we launched in January 2026. I’m pleased to report that the new model has meant higher overall compensation for most of our team. We also issue a T2200 to help offset some of these expenses at tax time.
On the broader comments about management culture and how ideas are received, I do want to gently push back. We have worked hard to build an organization where people feel comfortable raising new ideas. I can tell you that I receive dozens of recommendations from staff per month, and while I’m not able to move forward on them all, our management team spends a great deal of time reviewing every suggestion and implementing what we can. If your experience with your manager was different than that, I’d be keen to hear more.
I wish you well in whatever comes next.
