Pros

They hire a lot of co-ops so it's a good place to get internship experience. It might also be a good place to get a year or so of experience fresh out of school before you move on to better pastures. Work is very slow-paced so you will be able to fit extra career development activities into your schedule (certifications, projects, etc).

Cons

Salaries are very poor. I left after a few weeks when I got another offer with a base salary 17k higher than what Cadex offered me. Probation period is six months instead of three. They will "shorten" it to four months "if they like you". I was able to work there several weeks and then start over on a three month probation at a new place, and I still made it to permanent employee faster than if I'd stayed. The building, and especially the cubicle area where most people work, is grey and depressing. Most of the cubicles don't get any natural light. If your energy levels skyrocket by spending 8-9 hrs a day in a grey cubicle with dim flourescent lighting, this place is for you. One of the managers spoke proudly of how he got the company declared "essential" because some of their projects involve medical devices, so "we don't have to do work from home". Work from home was not allowed even at the height of covid, and the manager acted like that was somehow a good thing. The job I left for allowed hybrid and remote work, as most tech places do in this post-covid world. It is a worrying sign when a tech company is not able to stay current or adapt to the times and the job market.
