Chasing Numbers Company Is Going Downhill - Used To Be Good, Not Anymore
Pros
If you have or get a PE, you will get moved from a cubicle to an office which is nice. Some nice and genuine people in the team are a pleasure to work with. They are winning a lot of work which keeps people busy ...sometimes too busy and it leads to a lot of opportunity to learn and billing hours is almost never an issue..
Cons
Salaries have stayed stuck in the 2008s and do not keep up with the other companies...company growth has not been managed well...company ballooned from 300 to 1000 employees in a matter of 3 years! That is not organic growth and has lead to a lot of stress internally. Middle management is the major issue for this company and I'm not sure they see it. People who say what is pleasing to the ear of their supervisors, get to move up fast...if you do your job and speak the truth, you will fall by the wayside. Very discuoraging to see the direction of the company. I worked here more than 14 years and when it was a 300-400 people company, things were great! But now that we are over 1000+ employees, there is rampant poor management - engineers should engineer and they need to get more management savvy professionals on-board. They take their best engineers and make them ineffective managers...no support for training AT ALL...you figure out how to do your job..which did not used to be the case many years ago..very sad to see a company this good become just a number again..
