All of Carstar’s locations are owned by individuals, will eventually shut down. No HR! And it shows.

I promise you that there are not many Pros to working in the office or body shop at ANY Carstar locations. 1."Normal" 8-5 Monday through Friday hours. 2. No weekends. 3. N/A
Cons
I can only speak from my experience in the office of one of these locations but from what I’ve witnessed, you’ll want to run. Far away. You will be forced to lie to people, the appraisers work on commission so they will tell customers whatever they want to hear. And you better play along and lie to them too or you will be shunned by the ever-present office politics. You will be expected to do your job with bare minimum resources and poor “management”. And while you’re doing your job, they’ll fire your coworkers and you will do their job too. But, don’t ever ask for a raise at these places, you’ll be fired shortly after. Since these locations are privately owned “franchises”, they can be purchased by literally anyone that has the cash. Think of the creepiest, most inappropriate middle aged man you know, that has just enough money to act like a spoiled brat..that’s going to be your new boss.
