Pros

- Competitive salary -Benefits like health and travel insurance, gym sub, travelcard sub -Newest laptops and phones etc -Most importantly, people I worked with were extremely intelligent, with an amazing sense of humour, supportive and passionate about what they do.

Cons

-CEO and his CFO wife are more preoccupied with showcasing their flashy lifestyle rather than caring about the employees -CPO doesn't miss a chance to talk about employees behind their backs about things that are non-work related -Managers are actually terrified of the CEO and therefore are unable to stand up for themselves or their teams -Loads of people struggle to find a work/life balance -HR department is a complete joke Don't be fooled by the attractive slogans and a long list of benefits in the job ad. founders only care about the profits and looking superior in comparison to other tech companies.

It used to be a good place to work

Pros

The team members are nice and friendly at first, willing to show you the company culture. The work environment and offices are flexible and neat.

Cons

Toxic management and leadership. Most people still working at Celtra come from a distant past and hold higher salaries and senior positions that don’t exist in the current job market. There are several layoffs because the executives continue to change direction and poor product performance. It is a long process to get a promotion, and middle management will do everything to hold you back for at least two years.

Pros

ICs are generally hardworking and collaborations; nice and smart people. Good place for people to work who are content in an anxious work environment with little to no direction, and if money is no object.

Cons

Lack of career progression, compensation, leadership inadequacy, manager ineptitude - I don’t mean this review to be generically negative, but instead to give potential employment seekers fair warning about working here. Having been away from the company for some time and in new opportunities, my opinion of this company has become more concrete. This is your basic aspirational tech company that was acquired by some basic venture capital firm, and the problems are seemingly common for these failing post-startup endeavors, both as a company and at an individual contributor level. I think since I’ve left they’ve gone through even more mass layoffs, and the total lack of empathy that permeates throughout the VC-backed tech environment here is quite deplorable. I could not recommend avoiding this company enough. You will not only become stagnant in your career, but possibly even be put back in your career. You will however learn skills about managing a portfolio with limited value to sell, constantly playing defence against competitors, as well as learning names quickly as a result of consistent leadership turnover. Your experience may be different, but every department does seem to be plagued by the same issues of a company that won’t exist in 5 years. Best of luck to everyone who is still working there.

Thank you for your feedback! Although like many technology companies, we did reduce our headcount in the last few years, our average employee tenure remains well above SaaS industry standards with many employees staying with the company for several years. We feel this is a reflection of our positive culture where team members share a passion for creativity, making our customers successful, and collaborating with one another. As part of our hiring process, we try to align new hire expectations with the needs of the role, and we feel this collaboration is a two-way street where hopefully employees find fulfillment while meeting our business needs. If that was not your experience, we hope you have found a company which better meets your skills and professional aspirations. Over the last 5 years, we’ve been playing an active role in creating the Creative Automation market and a first of its kind software platform to meet the needs of designers, marketers, and digital media players. We’ve made a lot of progress with a number of strong indicators, one of those being the partnership we formed with Symphony Technology Group just over two years ago. While progress has been predominantly positive, and creating this type of space and technology is overwhelmingly exciting, it doesn’t come without its challenges, foreseen or not. We completely understand the bi-product of solving these types of challenges creates an environment that isn’t for everyone. We feel that the opportunity to solve this challenge while working with the smart, collaborative, hard working team that we’ve assembled is what makes us excited to come to work each day. As an organization, we strive to conduct our work, business, and treatment of one another with the utmost respect, empathy, and sincerity. Again, thank you for your feedback!
