Pros

The people in the organization are first rate, and the McCaskey family (and CEO Ted Phillips) create a welcoming environment that makes it possible for everyone to share their ideas. You will be working mostly with true professionals, and there are few personal conflicts. This is a work environment that does not come with a lot of the pettiness or bureaucracy of many places. If you work hard, you won't get lost in the shuffle and you will have a chance to excel. Most people truly enjoy working there.

Cons

Moving up can be difficult if the people in front of you don't leave. For that reason, promotions do not always come via merit alone. Financially, the salaries can be behind the marketplace due to the talent pool interested in these jobs. That said, the benefits (health care, 401k, pension) are fantastic and it can pay off for the people that make a career out of working there.
