Abandon hope all ye' who enter here!
Pros
1. Its better than being unemployed, maybe? 2. There is a candy bowl 3. Used this place for the job experience and found a real job before it sucked the soul from my body
Cons
1. Highest employee turn over rate I've ever seen at such a small company with an average of 5-10 people leaving per month (They used to acknowledge an employees contributions on their last day via a company wide email but the volume of people leaving has been so high lately that they've totally stopped doing it LOL!) 2. Executives and upper level management are also leaving the company at an alarmingly high rate (or being replaced by the CEOs close personal friends $$$) 3. Took away incentives and bonuses for lower level employees (e.g. Holiday bonuses, birthday lunches, employee of the month etc..) 4. Managers are in "meetings" a good percentage of their "work" day so don't expect them to be around much to handle escalations from upset customers or give guidance 5. Insanely high call volume (expect back to back calls for the duration of your 8 hour shift) averaging 400-500 calls a day for the support department alone. 6. Uneven workload. Some agents will take 10 calls a day others will take 30 (and you'll make exactly the same as the people doing less =D) 7. Management bribes / encourages team members often to request favorable reviews from clients to be posted on social media in exchange for money (Countermeasure to compensate for all of the negative reviews received online) 8. MULTIPLE people have been fired for sexual harassment towards women at this company =X (Good luck ladies!) 9. Company has been bought and sold twice in the last 3 years (1st investment firm sold it because it lost value and was not turning the profit they wanted and now its owned by a man who cares only about money and turning a profit) 10. The CEO is more concerned w/ new carpeting and adding a pool table to his personal office rather than employee satisfaction / retention. 11. They've hired a security guard to monitor parking in the lot and he'll stalk you with his DSLR while you park and snap photos for approval from management. 12. The CEO's favorite phrase is "REALLY COOL STUFF". Everyone hates him. 13. Support department is led by a team of individuals who are no more proficient in the software than the inexperienced geriatric users of the system themselves (Don't be surprised if they open google and type your question in to look for an answer). 14. Developers and QA release buggy software so often that it seems like its being done purposefully in order to retain existing support / maintenance contracts and drive ancillary service sales. 15. Read their Facebook page for a good laugh. Their customers hate them and they will surely let you know pretty much every time you talk to one over the phone. 16. Little to no career advancement (especially for minorities) and no people of color in any position of leadership or power company wide. 17. Inexperienced labor pool (including management) - Most people that work here were recruited from grocery stores, gyms , Walmart's etc so don't expect to be working with colleagues that have much experience in the industry. 18. This is a place that you come to collect a check, get a tick on the resume and move on to another position. This is NOT a place that you will be happy working at for long, not a place you can rely on for job security and not a place that will be around for too much longer at a pace like this.
