I have been working at Cielo full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fast paced working environment and needs people who can manage spiining multiple plates Flexible in most cases to work to client demands Great employees to work with, creates a welcoming culture leading to a lack of ego's! Rewarding to those who take ownership and deliver. Good mgmt. and leadership to have transparent conversations about career development. Flexible working environment - not afraid to have remote workers and good benefits supporting this.

    Cons

Could do with a bigger focus on back office support for recruiters with bigger sourcing teams etc. When clients flex up and down, it has sometimes proven difficult to keep up with demands/expectations Can sometimes feel like just the company who pay your wages but not who employ you, if you tend to focus solely on the client you support. Creates an environment of staff buying into the 'we become you' statement too much.

    Advice to Management

Hire and train up sourcers to become specialist for the various industries we tend to work within client wise. Would encourage more recruiters to utilise these better. Encourage mgmt. to get staff to visit Cielo offices during Social events, training courses etc. to keep a positive Cielo outlook and feel. Keep leaders being transparent and encourage monthly catch up conversations.

I worked at Cielo full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Vibrant business that has grown unrecognisable in scale, capability and reach during my tenure. Strong international presence, extremely smart people, and a very impressive client-base. Lots of change, fast pace, and high performance culture keeps interest high.

    Cons

Pace of work and constantly change are exhilarating but can be intense. Not for anybody looking for an easy life.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you do and maintain the open culture. Cielo people are smart and committed and will stay on the journey if you keep them informed and engaged.

I worked at Cielo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salary is average, benefits are good and work life balance is good.

    Cons

The company has a very american culture of hire and fire even if you are made redundant. They do not provide enough support to their own employee's and do not promote internal mobility. The company always sides with the client regardless of the situation, even if it involves discrimination of any kind. No recognition for those who work hard no matter how much dedication you put into the company. Senior managements quickest way to resolve any situation is to brush it under the carpet.

I have been working at Cielo full-time for less than a year

    Pros

good clients and excellent team members

    Cons

Account Directors not responsible. Very bad/non-existent HR policies towards employee care not professional when dealing with redundancies no clear HR procedures putting people on job risk, more a hire-fire policy.

    Advice to Management

Good team management is the essence of driving an organisation's success. During my time at Cielo have seen good managers and very bad managers. Making people redundant due to business reason is a reality, but would strongly advise the HR and leadership team to be sensitive and put some thought into keeping the effected employees. A very bad example is making an employee redundant with no prior notice or consultation because you have lost a client. The right thing to do is to at-least let the employee know that he/she is at risk and should start looking. It is called professional decency and good practice. Although the people working there are good, but would rate the culture and value down due to these unprofessional behaviour pattern.
