A tale of favouritism and greed.
Pros
Good social culture Wonderful colleagues Bright and airy office
Cons
While the co-workers are wonderful, many of the senior managers are not. Whilst they may be nice to your face and compliment your work, as soon as it's review time you will be told that nothing is good enough. I learned that many staff are put on back onto probation after a year for no other reason than to coax a bit of extra effort out of them, even if they are working at 100% Projects are won by undercutting and promising the world on a platter. This often resulted in ridiculous deadlines that required late night overtime even though the project had only just begun. People are worked to the bone and receive little to no compensation for this. Pay reviews are promised after X months of service but only materialise when repeatedly demanded by staff whilst those at the top sit pretty. Favouritism & nepotism is ripe within the company. Those that play the game or come from a particularly creative background are treated like royalty whilst those that do not are patronised and spoken down to. This company knows how to make money, but not for those doing the actual production work.
