Pros

having the opportunity to work with a multi-lingual,- curtural global team, some genuinely kind and helpful people within the company. Long established company, 30+ years

Cons

Toxic attitude amongst the favoured and management towards lower tier staff High management gossip about staffs personal issues, very disrespectful Very outdated and old minded company, using DOS system still in 2019 - slowly switching to a broken but “newer” system although very poorly implemented and training staff poorly. VERY outdated equipment Has little to no large accounts anymore due to quality issues.

Pros

None anymore. Was once a fantastic company, with good benefits and a great atmosphere.

Cons

Upper management cannot see the forest for the trees. Shortsighted, micromanaged, lousy place to spend 1/3 of your life. Bad pay structure, infighting among sales almost encouraged. No camaraderie at all. Sad to watch the de-evolution. Owners have all but given up.

Pros

I have been with Classic for over 4 years and was very encouraged and full of energy in the first two years but in the last two years, the company has been through dramatic changes in employees and management. It is a great entry level company and that is it. It is a debt free company as well however I have not seen the current employees that have been employed 6-20+ years with many positives since I arrived.

Cons

Because Classic is privately owned and privately funded, the salary and promotion process does not follow the normal or regular process. It took over a year for me to get a $2 raise and that was with constant reminders to management. I'm sure if I did not push the issue, it would of been delayed much longer. Old database from 1985 - DOS which you will find yourself using the F-keys frequently. Company has not advanced technologically to the level of it's competitors. You can be a manager when you serve 5-6+ years or when the current managers retire. Extremely high employee turnover...resignations or terminations, especially in the sales department. Unless you've been with the company for 16+ years and know components well, sales/purchasing in the electronic components field appear to be difficult for any new sales associate.
