I worked at Clear full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people at Clear London are great - smart, capable, hard-working, they don't settle for average. They come from a diverse range of professional backgrounds and offer perspectives that a lot of people can learn from. It's a great place to work if you want to be thrown in at the deep end, take responsibility and get on with doing great work.

    Cons

A high pressure, high performance environment, you have to be able to keep up and put the hours in when necessary. People are willing to help but expectations are high.

"Top agency in its field - with a genuine opportunity to write your own story"

I worked at Clear full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - For smart people with drive, Clear is a great place to get exposure to high profile projects, with senior level audiences, at top global clients - It's very much a place where you write your own story, the consultants that do well are those with an entrepreneurial spirit, an ambition to learn, and drive to grow - There are some glamorous travel opportunities to the far-flung corners of the world (as well as some less glamourous - Slough anyone?) - There is a refreshingly flat, meritocratic, and direct structure to the business. If you have an idea, it will be heard. If you want to take the initiative and work on a particular sector, or win a client, you will be encouraged to - It's a business that promotes from within. The senior management all started at Clear many years ago. You will be pushed to reach for the next level and rewarded with opportunities when you get there - A great culture. I personally made many friends for life there.

    Cons

    - If you want to get ahead you need to take personal responsibility to get there. - The senior people in the business are probably the hardest working, if you want to come in at a senior level and have it easy, you're at the wrong place

I worked at Clear full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Really intelligent team who are ambitious and driven - you will meet brilliant minds and learn a lot - Great (often global) clients with interesting and significant challenges - Often promotes from within, because it's hard for them to find suitable candidates that tick all of their boxes externally - Fantastic transparency from management around how the business is performing

    Cons

    - Long working hours with little thought to people's personal life or health; no time given back for travel or overtime worked. Employees are expected to drop everything for client demands. No flexible working at all - if you are not at your desk, you are not considered productive regardless of your output. - Does not have a steady new business pipeline - there are periods of extreme pressure around finding new business to hit the numbers - Success is only available for people who are a 'fit' with the specific, established culture: extremely commercial (your most value comes from your ability to bring in new projects), does not challenge the status quo, willing to work long hours without complaint, went to specific schools and have specific types of brand experience. They only hire people who are a 'fit' and are quick to get rid of anyone who is not. They are really disparaging towards candidates and employees who who do fit into the box, therefore the team is not very diverse and it doesn't feel 'safe' to be yourself. Despite 'collaboration' being a core value, the culture is very individualistic and there is very little collaboration. - The business is constantly pivoting. They will try one thing for a few months, but if business doesn't pour in right away, the idea (and sometimes the people involved) is abandoned and focus is shifted to the 'next big idea.' - Clients often require a lot of attention and management. - The business is really small and therefore, the culture is entirely set top down.

    I worked at Clear full-time

    Pros

Lots of experienced and talented management. Really knowledgeable and when they spend time with you, you learn a lot. However, there are a few managers who take all the glory from a project but that's all businesses. I enjoyed my time at Clear and made some great friends who I enjoyed spending my days with.

    Cons

Can be relentless, the work is constant. Constantly pitching, constantly working, constantly having to go from one project to the next

    I worked at Clear full-time

    Pros

Friendly and clever people Comprehensive, clearly articulated culture Generous employee benefits Fast-moving exciting environment Fascinating work Great clients Imaginative approach Openness to dialogue and everyone’s points of view - inclusiveness Thoughtful approach to clients and company management.

    Cons

Almost too generous with their employee benefits and might be better off investing some of the budget spent on them to develop their employees’ profiles and expertise. I know this is something that they’re thinking about.

I worked at Clear full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Amazing quality clients and global, high-level challenges that look great on your CV - Working with and learning from some of the absolute smartest thinkers in the business, exposing you to high quality thinking across strategy, innovation and research . Chance to really supercharge your own knowledge - Client exposure - if you are keen & able, the chance to be in meetings and have an impact with extremely senior clients at major brands - Travel - amazing travel opportunities, both on projects and across the Clear offices - Lots of autonomy and flexibility. You will be given exciting, stretching responsibilities early on, and they are very open to individual career development although you MUST speak up & ask - you won't be babysat. - An extremely fun, vibrant work environment with fab perks & socialising - work hard, play hard mentality, which creates a great sense of team

    Cons

Fast growth always creates a lot of change and sometimes long hours (but the rewards are totally worth it) There's a skills gap around digital which I believe they are trying to address

    Pros

Good benefits, free lunches and Friday drinks.

    Cons

Long hours without TOIL time ever being given even if you spend your weekend working. No flexibility at all, no plan where the business is going. It seems to be up and down all the time.
