Pros

I’ve spent four years at ClearCourse and it’s been a genuinely formative chapter of my career. I’ve had the opportunity to progress, take on increasing responsibility, and work across functions, products, and leadership teams in a way that’s rare in many organisations. One of the standout aspects is the breadth of industries the business serves. Through a diverse SaaS portfolio, I’ve worked with non-profits, events, eCommerce, finance, and technology businesses, which keeps the work interesting and constantly evolving. You get exposure to real-world problems and the chance to see how technology can make a meaningful difference. ClearCourse has a strong heart for both its customers and its people. High standards and expectations are part of the culture, but they’re paired with trust, autonomy, and accountability. Collaboration is encouraged, silos are actively challenged, and people are empowered to own outcomes rather than just tasks. What’s mattered most to me is the opportunity to make tangible impact, shaping people, product, and process in ways that genuinely move the business forward. The shared “why” is clear: people come first, whether that’s customers, end users, or teammates, and innovative technology is the vehicle that helps deliver that purpose. It’s a fast-moving, ambitious environment, which won’t suit everyone, but for those who want responsibility, learning, and the chance to build something meaningful with good people, it’s a great place to be. Pros • Strong career development and progression opportunities • Collaborative, high-trust culture with real autonomy • Exposure to varied industries and modern SaaS products • People-first mindset with high standards

Cons

Cons • Pace and expectations can be demanding at times • Change is frequent, which requires adaptability

Pros

There isn’t any pros anymore

Cons

We were a well-respected business before this company acquired us. Their only goal is to get all customers on their payment gateway, ClearAccept. They don't care that they are destroying customer's businesses and essentially, our business when all our customers cancel and move away. Redundancies are happening left, right, and centre. But a million managers are sitting in meetings about meetings while we're struggling to get staff who do work replaced. After talking to other CC-acquired companies, morale in all Clearcourse companies is abysmal. We feedback on how unhappy we are and it is either ignored or there are that many managers it has to go up to, it's lost in the ethers. Both options are dangerous. A lot of talented people are leaving and not being replaced. More notices are being handed in every week. Those who have left love the original company but are starting to realise that ClearCourse is destroying everything. If ClearCourse have acquired your employer and you're miserable, you can speak to literally anyone who is not in management and they'll feel the same. Get out sooner rather than later.

We were sorry to hear about your experiences – and we’d really like to speak to you to find out more – as what you’ve described doesn’t match with other feedback we’ve received from people who have had (and are still having) a positive experience. Regarding ClearAccept we’d like to make explicitly clear that our ultimate goal is to help build great businesses – and our integrated payments solutions are just one of many tools we provide to do just that. We don’t force it on anyone. We would really like to hear your feedback in detail to understand your point of view, so please do send me an email and we can set up an informal chat - jbrain@clearcourse.co.uk.

Pros

We used to get our birthday off before being acquired by Clearcourse, then it got taken off us and given back 8 months later. I guess that’s it, if you could even call that a pro.

Cons

Constant redundancies from the minute our business was acquired. Removal of all staff that knew the business model leaving growth up to new people who didn’t know anything about our customers/structure. We had a meeting with HR to improve the workplace where every single individual in my call mentioned they felt their job was unsafe. Absolutely nothing was done regarding this and 4 months later another wave of redundancies hit. The classic 5:50pm email “please urgently attend”. Last year there were no Christmas party due to a large redundancy hit another side of the business. This year the exact same thing only it hit me. I will never recommend this company, I would never have taken another job offered and I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider applying here.
