Pros

I have worked for CI for nearly 5 years. I enjoy what I do and the people I work with. The people are hard working and passionate about what they do. We have some great products that really make an impact on the lives of mothers and babies.

Cons

MDR is making it challenging for the company (as with every medical device company) which can mean budgets are tight in other areas. This is understandable but a little frustrating. It is all contributing to making us a better company.

Pros

Good coworkers. Nice "feel good" market.

Cons

HR doesn't know what they are doing. Some members of senior management are in over their heads. Decisions are often made on a spur of the moment without enough consideration, leading to a knee jerk management style. Employees are not valued.

Pros

Meaningful products, company has potential if it had not been grown on a toxic foundation.

Cons

Initial appearances of this company are very misleading. You get the impression that it is a happy, close knit, fun loving “family”. However, that is not the reality. Based on my experience, at least 50% of the work force does not actually want to be there. This estimate was made based on actual conversations where this statement was made. There is no support for the employees from an HR standpoint. Anything you speak about to HR will be propagated throughout the company which leaves very few options. Many of the employees feel they are legitimately stuck with this company for various reasons or are so beat down that they don’t think they can get good enough references to land a better job. Morale is very low most of the time. Behavior within the upper management is ethically questionable. There are a vast number of behind-closed doors meetings and non-stop complaining amongst the staff regarding management, coworkers, lack of support, being treated unfairly, etc. More complaining about work takes place than actual work. Those who work to do the right thing are often undermined by the culture of tattle telling and encouragement by management to turn on your coworkers. I witnessed interrogation practices that verge on illegal. There are legitimate cases to be had for lawsuits if it was worth the possibility of being blacklisted. After leaving the company, conversations came up with those who had interviewed with this company and it was clear they were given false representation around many critical situations (blatant lies to be exact). Luckily this person chose a different company to work for. If you thrive in contentious work environments, like being lied to, love gossiping, not being able to trust any of your coworkers and really have no other place that is willing to hire you, then work for Clinical Innovations. However, my advice is to work at any other company but this one.
