Pros

Great Development Team Great Products

Cons

I was let go when leadership/CEO chose to bring in someone from their personal network to take over the role. While the decision was positioned as a need for more experience, I had spent years in the industry and had played a critical role in shaping and scaling the company’s core product—bringing three major iterations to market and supporting over 300 client websites. The outcome was disappointing, but I’m proud of what I built and the value I brought to the business.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re grateful for the time, expertise, and effort you contributed over the years. As Coalmarch continues to grow and evolve, we’ve had to make some difficult but necessary decisions to align our structure and leadership with where we’re heading next. These changes are never made lightly, and they’re not about any one individual, they’re about building the team and platform that will carry us into the future. While transitions can be difficult, we remain proud of what was built and sincerely wish you continued success moving forward.

Good for experience, But terrible management

Pros

- Gain experience in your digital marketing field. - Good if you live nearby. - Does the best for the clients.

Cons

- Terrible management. Basically don't like being asked anything. If you do, you will be ostracized. - Zero racial diversity. - If you don't work in the office, you will not be a part of any of this fun happening there and you are looked at like an alien. - Constantly hiring people because people always come and go. Even with constant hiring, each team has only 10 members. - No work life balance but creates a feeling that it exists by always talking about it. - Don't give you any advices or support and one day throws everything at you. - More important than your work is how much can you talk about nothing specific. - Have so-called fun activities such as "book reading" where they choose a book and make you read it and mostly likely it is about "employees should not complain".

Very sorry to hear of your perceptions, especially knowing the care that everyone puts into creating an inclusive environment for team members to learn, grow and connect. We wish you had shared these concerns during 1:1's, on anonymous surveys or at an exit interview so we could have addressed your concerns prior to your departure. We certainly wish you all the best going forward!

Pros

I left a job that I had gained a lot of respect and experience at for a company that is much smaller, taking me to a new industry and a new role. It was challenging starting all of this virtually and in a pandemic but Coalmarch made it easier. The entire company has been welcoming, helpful, open to my ideas and respectful of my time and opinions. I think what Coalmarch does really well is voicing the mission and vision of the company and sticking to it. Also, they make it clear to all employees at every level and everyone is truly invested in the health and growth of the company. Coming from a more 'corporate' world that is very refreshing. There is great work-life balance and perks. You are encouraged to only work inside of working hours, pre-Covid there were a lot of company events and outings, you get your birthday off, plus a few more great perks.

Cons

There are growing pains that Coalmarch faces that come with a small company that is succeeding and growing at a rapid pace but that is to be expected. It is truly all good/great growth and necessary if we want the company to continue to be successful. Very fast-paced environment and with working from home it might not be the best for people who like to keep to themselves at work. Collaboration is key here and you have to be able to manage your time and multi-task.
