Pros

Genuinely flexible and agile work policy enables me to find the best possible balance between work and family life. Growing business with a diverse range of clients offers the opportunity for an interesting and developing career. Working with a remote global team from a London HQ brings the best of both worlds. The opportunity to get to know great global colleagues through digital means but to also enjoy in-person social activities such as team lunches and riverside runs with colleagues.

Cons

Like many small companies, Convosphere struggles to match the financial benefits available from larger more established businesses.

Pros

There were zero positive aspects of working for these people.

Cons

Stopped paying paychecks. If they tell you they can't pay you, stop working there. They will Rob you blind and screw you over day in and day out.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I appreciate that you are unhappy about the ending of your employment with us. We never employed any software engineers in London, so I think this possibly really relates to our decision after our acquisition of a technology company to close its US and Vietnamese software development and operations where I’m sure you were based. This was a difficult decision which was effectively forced on us when it became clear that the investment we had agreed to support the development of our technology platform was ultimately not forthcoming. This meant we had to lose a lot of respected and talented members of the team which was painful for us, but our company was, and is still a small start-up and entirely self-funded which means we have to live and grow within our means. This also meant that it took time to pay all staff their outstanding salaries and benefits, and although the vast majority of the team were very supportive as we worked through these challenges, others were a little less forgiving which of course is their prerogative. As I believe you’ve now come to realise - through us honouring all of our commitments, we do genuinely care about our team and the longevity of the business. If any interested party would like further details or information on this matter, please do get in touch with one of our management team who will be pleased to provide more information.

Pros

Lovely, friendly and welcoming team. Great place for those looking for a work/life balance. Exciting projects and interesting clients. Small company means you're exposed to all parts of the business and get to see projects from the start through to the end.

Cons

Minor lack of structure and internal communication.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments and especially to comment on how lovely and friendly your colleagues are - I agree! We are a small high growth company, and this does mean you get to experience a more complete involvement than you might at a larger company and certainly we do have some exciting and varied clients, so the work is never dull. I agree that the very flat structure that we had wasn’t working so well for us as we grew and we have taken recent steps to engage with the team to change this. We are still pretty flat and lacking in a hierarchy but hopefully with just enough structure to improve communication.
