I worked at Coventry University full-time

    Pros

Health insurance and nice location near Liverpool Street. Some teams do work well together.

    Cons

Staff appear overworked with responsibility beyond their capacity and experience . It's a corporate environment not particularly collegiate and some team managers don't have the experience to lead people well which really showed in their teams. Students not getting the quality of teaching and support they deserved in many instances. Salaries below market rate.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the teams with high staff turnover and think about the role team leads might play. Look at the hiring process and think about getting the right fit.

I have been working at Coventry University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good chance to boost your cv with being given different jobs and opportunities. You get to work with and meet very different people doing different degrees and make friends.

    Cons

Sometimes you have to work open days regardless of what hours you normally do as they need the help, and these are often on Saturdays but the pay is worth it!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and looking after your advocates well! Everyone is friendly and keen to help if you need it
