Pros

Craft is a significant place for work. The pace that the founders dictate is incredibly high. This means tight deadlines focus on scope cutting to meet goals. In some ways, it sounds and looks quite intimidating from the sidelines. However, when you figure out how Craft works, you start to appreciate why certain things are done the way they are. You truly learn what it takes to make progress and iterate on features. You learn about how to think broadly but be pragmatic about ideas. Most importantly, you are surrounded by like-minded people who love building high-quality features and products that must look and feel great. Craft truly cares about how a feature technically works but equally how pleasant that feature is to use and look at. There’s an absolute feeling that all platforms are equally important. This is rare for companies, but all features are always completed across platforms simultaneously. Every few weeks, you will feel like the job is not easy, but you will feel like you’ve learned a lot. More importantly, Craft feels like a significant investment in your future career. A place that you will back on and think, this was one of those jobs that greatly impacted my life and work values. I have no regrets about joining and working at Craft and want to contribute to its long-term success.

Cons

Reviews have mentioned this, but, indeed, Craft will not be adaptive to other people’s work styles. You will get a lot of freedom to execute how you want, but if something goes wrong, you will be given specific instructions to follow to get back on track. For some, this feels like they are being controlled. Another aspect of the environment is that most get through many things during work hours, and sometimes you can feel intimidated. For those who are too shy to ask for help or request support, this will not end and feel well. Usually, you will know if Craft is for you within the first three months. The founders are always understanding and supportive if you move on proactively with clear reasoning. They are always fair and generous.

Pros

- Transparent communication, honesty: the leadership doesn't shy away from keeping things transparent - be it celebratory moments or challenges or bad news, we're in the loop. - High expectations, but high level of trust & ownership: the bar is set high here, but so is the trust. It's the perfect blend for those who are keen to drive things and to evolve. - Big dreams: out-of-box, innovative mindset, focus on creating value and great work, and not settling for any less. It's all about adding value and perfection to our product. - Learning opportunities: cross-collaboration, challenging projects, mentoring, trainings and general growth mindset. - Frequent feedback: regular insights from managers. Biannual thourough reviews (performance and career discussions), coupled with 360-degree feedback. - Remote, yet connected: our work mode is remote first, but with occasional in-person meeting opportunities. - Diverse team: a great team, with all sorts of background and experience, from various countries and cultures. You can grow a lot not just professionally, but personally as well.

Cons

- Highly focused work & intensity: focused and high-quality work is embraced. It's invigorating for the growth-minded but might feel intense if you're looking for a more relaxed pace. - Startup life: dynamism/changes, ambiguity and uncertainty is embraced. It's not the usual 9-5 and it's not for everyone. - No hand-holding: if you thrive in top-down decision environments, this might feel a tad overwhelming. Here, ambiguity is cherished as an opportunity, and we believe that everyone can drive the change - be it at any level, or in any position. Titles are not important, but teamwork and building something great is.
