I have been working at Culina Group full-time

    Pros

Having worked in Client Support for some time, I can say it’s a nice work environment, challenging at times (in all the right ways), but has open opportunities for upward progression, most administrators seem to progress to Supervisiors within a couple years. Most staff are supportive and will help whenever you need, and as a general rule a happy work environment. Benefit at present - key worker status means faster access to COVID testing, if required.

    Cons

As with any office there are going to be some people that don’t see eye to eye, but management deal with issues in an appropriate and professional manner. All provisions in place for a COVID secure workplace, though not all office staff seem to adhere - namely wiping the photocopier or kitchen after use; but ultimately this is their discretion and not the fault of Culina Group, who provide socially distanced space, sanitiser, wipes, temp checks etc.

I worked at Culina Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good pay for the area and good holiday entitlement and hours. You will get time reimbursed if you do extra or OT paid. People are mostly really friendly and helpful and it is like being a part of a family. Training is good and reviewed regularly. Manager is excellent and does try to be fair to everyone without excluding or playing favourite. She will help develop you and your skills and you can go and talk to her about anything. The company as a whole and individual departments are always trying to think of ways to recognise staff and show their appreciation with employee of the month and other schemes. Good social media presence to keep everyone in the loop with what is happening and any other news. Higher management do try their best to be 'seen' and CEO does a roadshow every year which is more than you get at some places. All in all a good place to work and I would encourage anyone to apply.

    Cons

Office is 99% girls so tensions can sometimes run high and it can get a bit cliquey which then seeps into the general mood of the office bringing it down. No sick pay which is a big down point from my point of view for the company. So many people come in with colds and illness which gets passed on because no one can afford a day off! *Some* smokers take the mick with smoking breaks, every hour on the hour in a 12 hour shift when some people who don't smoke never even had time for a lunch break. Benefits could be better and in line with competitors in terms of a bonus and pay structures. COVID safety could be looked at. Posted pictures on social media of no social distancing in offices or masks being worn. Staff turnover can be quite high sometimes and shifts are always being swapped and changed to accommodate shortages, but if you are flexible then this is not really a problem.

I have been working at Culina Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great job in itself, good pay, good hours and holiday entitlement.

    Cons

So many. Not covid safe, so much paper passed around, air con/heating system always on and no fresh air is being circulated around the office. No management anywhere to be seen. The manager is working from home keeping herself safe while expecting all the administrators to work in the office. Hard to get hold of her and she is using the virus to get to work from home.

    Pros

They've got clean, well maintained trucks. It's an easy job. Earned recognition with VOSA . Some friendly faces.

    Cons

They encourage you to take your breaks on the bay, when in fact you're doing paperwork or waiting for the greenlight, calling them up to make sure they haven't changed your plans for the day, calling them for late references, delayed references, details of the next job. You could take your breaks legally away from the work. But you'd only be adding to the length of your day, which is discouraged because they don't pay overtime until you go over 12 hours. They tell you overtime is monitored. Who wants to spend their life in the truck and being questioned over the legality of how they spend their rest? As with every transport company, those behind a counter being paid half a salary are rude and treat the professionals with disdain. The same people they expect you to call during your daily rest to get your start times. Lastly, but by no means least, they're racist.
