You yourself answered most of the issues raised here still here are few facts for you to do soul searching .
1. Salary is revised by min 10% with every joining and min offered salary is 12K, going by your statement you reconfirmed that that you were a non performer and could get either 1 or max 2 Joining in more than a years time hence could reach to just 15k in a year time. There are many whose base salary itself is 18-20K in just 6 months exp but there is no such thing called free lunches.
2. There is nothing hidden . everything in crystal clear & in written . No one on this earth can stop a leaving employee but there is something called ethics & "Notice period".. Those leaving org after serving notice period gets their documents back on their last working day but same is NOT true with absconders.
3. Yes , documents are asked but to provide stability to both the parties . While we have proven track record of 17 years behinds us to prove our credentials, how to trust those who change their profession, every month .
4. No employer on this earth is good for non performers , hence you are no exception.
5.We don't need quantity to serve our clients but self motivated recruiters.
6. There are 100s of companies running in basement, still they didn't find you worth hiring. Who to blame for your failure ? its not basement or infra but something else and you must be knowing it very well .
7. As such we don't see any major issue with our infrastructure but we accept there might be something missing.
