Pros

-Freedom to go about your tickets throughout the day in the order that you would prefer -Take home vehicle -Phone Stipend -Nice Coworkers -Good schedule, always 40 hours with some OT

Cons

-The team was too small for what they wanted to accomplish -When big projects came around, they expected you to churn out 2-3 Installs a day, which, after going to another company who does the same thing but takes pride in their work, is WAY too little time to do a quality job. -They EXPECT you, in fact they encourage you, to half-ass things. Things are always done in a shortcut. -Management is always all over the place. They expect you to do their work for them. -Management takes credit for your ideas or accomplishments. -There is no real training regimen, sometimes you can be thrown in, sometimes they actually take the time. -Too much is expected from the Lead Tech. Management would almost always place blame and berate the lead tech that was just trying to get things done -You MUST bring your own tools. Tools, nor a tool stipend is given. -Michael was the type of Manager to lose patience way too quickly. I mean, the guy was cursing and kicking his feet and saying his day got ruined over getting an email to do a simple task -Management is there to protect the interest of the company solely. They constantly protest against unionizing and HR does not listen to any complaints. Matter of fact, there have been cases of sexual harassment, racial prejudice and use of slurs from managers that have actually ended in the protection of the perpetrator. -Work is encouraged to be done in an unsafe manner. No ladders and workers are expected to climb on the hood of vehicles to do installs. Especially in the winter, these get Icy and can cause you to slip and fall. And if you do they state something like “It says in the manual you should be on a ladder” or something like that but they actually don’t provide ladders. Osha complaints lead to fake, fabricated materials being sent to Osha of the “Team” “doing work” except no one in the picture was part of the department. -Work vans were always in unsafe conditions. Bald tires, failing engines, bad transmissions. My van personally lost power steering at random and almost caused me accidents multiple times. I brought it up to management multiple times and it was NEVER addressed. -Company never had their priorities straight. They would buy their execs a new Luxury vehicle EVERY YEAR while the rest of the company suffered with vehicles in bad conditions -Manager constantly saying Misogynistic, Racist, sexist, comments. (Telling us to look out the window at oncoming women, etc…) -Benefits were middle-of-the-pack -Pay was OK at best -No bonuses ever besides $50 for Christmas (3 years in a row)

Pros

Can bring your children to work with you. Works within the school calendar. Availability to work more hours if you wanted.

Cons

Management tended to play favorites. Found management to be less than honest- example, requested a day off for medical procedure, was given written approval to take day off, took day off, reprimanded the next day back. Refused to supply employee handbooks, but forced to sign acknowledgement sheets saying we read and understand the rules.
