Pros

Valuable recruiting techniques are taught, but nothing proprietary that you couldn’t get with some reading and trial & error on your own part. Best thing they provide is steady clients.

Cons

Extreme micro-management. Phone times kept on display, emails checked, and all activity in office monitored via camera in a way that shows the owner’s distrust of his employees. Owner is abrasive on a good day, and constantly changing company processes and policies. Can’t get out of his own way. Very toxic work environment. Work week is disguised as flexible with a focus on work life balance. You start at 10am which sounds great, but your clients don’t, so you’re expected to answer calls and emails when you get them. Management and owner say you aren’t required to answer/reply out of work hours, but will also compare performance to employees who do work outside the normal work hours. Owner brings a fake Wall Street attitude to most situations, and not cares about how much money you make him. During pandemic the owner read about millennials and quit quitting, and he seemingly never recovered from the emotioal damage that he suffered when he convinced himself that’s what his employees were doing. I’m being conservative when I say was had 10 straight weeks of two weekly meetings that were hijacked by the owner to go on 20+ minute rants about quit quitting. This was always done in an accusatory war toward the entire company minus the management who usually just sat there nodding in agreement. Overall theme of paranoia, every single day, without fail.

We value feedback but must address the inaccuracies and unfounded claims in this review. The individual who wrote this review joined us with no prior recruiting experience, having previously worked as a sprinkler head repairman. They sought a career change, starting as a marketing associate and advancing to managing director, earning over $180,000 in their final year. They quit without notice, claiming dissatisfaction with recruiting, only to start their own staffing company. Their stated reasons for leaving were false. Our recruiting techniques are proprietary and developed over years of experience. Comparing our methods to trial and error or online reading undermines the extensive expertise and unique approaches we've cultivated at DAVRON. Our office hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM. Claims of being required to work outside these hours are baseless. Monitoring metrics is a standard practice in any business. The allegation of 10 weeks of meetings hijacked by the owner is entirely false and imagined. Regarding the work environment, our turnover rate is 78% lower than the industry average, proving it is far from toxic. We offer 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM hours, company snacks like granola bars, gummy bears, cup of noodle soups just to name a few. We also have regular company-paid lunches, health insurance, dental and vision insurance, company trips like deep sea fishing and axe throwing and shareholder opportunities. Our recruiters typically earn over six figures after just two years. The reviewer was at DAVRON for nearly 7 years. This review was written nearly a year after they left. Holding onto a personal agenda should not be mistaken for an honest review. Our company values its employees and provides a supportive and rewarding work environment as evidenced by the overwhelming number of positive reviews, low staff turnover rate, rewarding and generous pay packages, and the opportunity to have an amazing career without any prior recruiting experience. We encourage constructive feedback to help us improve. However, it's important to differentiate between genuine criticism and a personal grudge.

Pros

There are a lot of genuinely good, hardworking people who care about doing the right thing. Many team members are knowledgeable, collaborative, and try to maintain a positive attitude despite challenges.

Cons

Once in the role, I quickly realized things aren't what they appear. Management behavior consistently overshadows good work being done by the team. Communication is inconsistent, unpredictable, expectations change without clarity and decisions feel emotionally driven rather than professional. The owner’s ego heavily influences the culture, creating an environment where people feel stressed, guarded, and hesitant to speak openly. Many would withhold honest feedback out of fear of being singled out or facing a negative consequence. There is very high turnover, and I personally witnessed a constant revolving door of people coming and going. I feel fooled by the optics, and regret not taking a closer look before accepting the position.

We firmly disagree with this characterization of our culture and leadership. DAVRON actively and consistently seeks feedback from team members through regular one-on-ones, performance discussions, training sessions, and open dialogue. Honest input is encouraged, expected, and acted upon. The suggestion that people are “afraid to speak openly” does not align with how we operate or with the results our team achieves. We are a high-culture, high-performance organization. Expectations are clear, accountability is real, and success here requires discipline, consistency, and ownership. That environment empowers many people—and it is not for everyone. What is objective and measurable is this: 100% of recruiters who have been with us longer than 12 months have earned six figures, including earnings exceeding $200,000, and even $300,000. Those outcomes do not occur in environments defined by fear, chaos, or emotional decision-making. They occur where coaching, structure, feedback, and standards are taken seriously. Like any performance-driven company, we address underperformance directly and transparently. Some individuals choose to move on when expectations are not being met, and that is their right. We believe clarity and accountability are far more respectful than allowing people to drift without direction. We are proud of the many professionals who thrive here, build meaningful careers, and achieve results well above industry norms. While we understand that our model may not suit every individual, we stand confidently behind our culture, leadership, and track record of success.
