I have been working at DBS Bank full-time

    Pros

A CEO that knows what he is talking about, passionate to deliver and making banking joyful. Streamlining the customer experience is important.

    Cons

Process driven and at times archaic with overthrowing some of the past bureaucracies. But good effort is spent not only at identifying problems but also at ways to solve them.

    Pros

Had very good staff benefits that are generous and comprehensive. Very transparent in terms of appraisal and the office at MBFC has scenic view.

    Cons

Very stiff competition among colleagues. Too much emphasis on those who got in through graduate programme that makes the rest feel unappreciated.

    Advice to Management

Promotion should be based on performance and not point of entry.

I worked at DBS Bank full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will be stretched to do new things. It's very performance and outcome driven so there is pressure, but increasingly encouraging a fail better learning environment and culture.

    Cons

Traditional hierarchy style of management. Politics abound and you may not be able to get things done as directly as they should be. Some managers are still abusive in the way they talk.

    Advice to Management

Respect everyone and try different styles of management. Don't equate long hours with hard or effective work.
