      An aggressive Environment where bullying is common place

      Experience at a global, International gallery.

      Cons

      The environment was extremely aggressive. The juniors and interns are regularly shouted at and treated appallingly (extremely low pay!). The sales directors are frequently treated as gods within the company and there is a hierarchical structure to whole company while sales assistants assert their presence by demeaning others and a general air of arrogance. The whole system seems to pit one against the other which works people into the ground and damages their mental health.

      Pros

      Working with some incredibly passionate and knowledgeable people and a fantastic range of artists.

      Cons

      A deeply toxic environment, unrealistic expectations, insufficient support. Difficult to witness so many hard working people be worked into the ground until they became physically and mentally unwell. Senior members of staff treat juniors with an appallingly lack of respect.

      A famous gallery and looks good on your CV

      Cons

      Not a very friendly environment, and as an intern we will be working on a bar table which is in a corridor right next to the kitchen. Low pay.
