Pros
Fed up reading dishonest reviews by disgruntled employees. I've been here 3 years and whilst like any company we have challenges, you'd be hard pressed to find many others with:
- Customers that LOVE our technology. I've seen it both in EMEA and the US where customers thank us, saved their bacon, couldn't live without it, transformed how they work etc etc. Are there unhappy customers? Well of course - we're not infallible but the vast majority are emotionally sold in to our technology.
- A huge market opportunity. Cloud, DevOps, Compliance, Security, Analytics, Migration, Production Support - there are SO many use cases of Delphix. We have barely begun and with incredible logo's (unheard of in a company our size/age) the potential is utterly huge
- Incredible new team. New CEO, CTO, CMO, VP Products, VP Product Marketing, VP Sales and so on. This is a sign of a company growing up FAST. But you have to give this team a chance to bed in and make their changes. A good example is our VP engineering who has done miracles in his short time here. The new levels of quality and innovation are just fantastic. Another is VP of sales, a phenomenal bucket of energy and truly driving positive change. As for our CEO, I've not heard a single negative thing. He rocks (literally)
- Brilliant technical vision. Can't say here but if you work here you should know already. Our data platform is just going to get better and better - game changing.
- Great culture. I just don't know what went wrong with some people on this site but Delphix is a fun place to work, people are really decent and genuine. Take our kick off - it was so much fun. A real party.
Cons
There's no hiding that Delphix is a hard sell. However most large enterprise deals in any company are. A whole lot is going on to make it easier, and the market is starting to understand. Sooner or later there will be a tipping point and everyone will do it this way - patience is required!
In the last few years there has been a lot of change. People have left some by their own decision, others not and we've all seen colleagues we care about go which is hard. Change is hard, but you have to be able to see something special. I've worked at other startups who had been around longer and doing in new business per year what Delphix does in a quarter.
Delphix is not easy, and there are times it is frustrating as hell. But that is only because we aspire for greatness. Delphix is one of the big bets, and if you are here you have to be part of the solution. This is one logo that will shine in your CV in years to come.
