Pros

- They are some truly great people who work here - They have a great vision for the future

Cons

I worked at Deployed Resources for 11 months and joined under the expectations of career growth and stability. During my interviews, I was told that they expected to rapidly grow my involvement with the organization and that I could expect to have my own team within a year. When I asked, where do you see my role here in 5 years? The answer was with a seat at the table. My experience here was less than ideal. My manager was the Chief Strategy Officer. They consistently did not show up to one on ones after a couple of months they no longer bothered to cancel or reschedule. They also rarely responded to my emails. I flew on to the project site to figure out the intention of my role. After not being able to have one meeting with my manager and being on-site for a couple of weeks, I sent a full career outlook plan to my manager. My hope was to show how I could help in areas for operations analysis on-site. I later found out they hired someone else for the role I recommend. I never had a 30-day, 60-day, or even 90-day check-in from my manager (as per company policy). I was ultimately laid off shortly after they discovered that no one was signing my paychecks, which came to light after I requested PTO and there was no one to approve it. The reason for my layoff was organizational changes. There was an organizational change a few months prior, my manager was promoted and worked for a different company than me. I had no team or direct manager. My role became one of a floater, hopping from team to team to see if there was any way that I could assist them. The excuse was that my role was no longer needed. Even as I was actively working on a research project for another team and working around the clock to do so. In hindsight, I was treated highly inappropriately, from my manager being unavailable to the final research project that I was working on (where the true intentions were to find out what legal issues other contractors were getting in trouble for). I was told that the focus was on specific contracts, but the intentions were deeper than that. At the end, they called me on my personal number at the close of business to lay me off, because of org changes and my position was no longer needed. During the call, I asked for severance and was told that I could not be paid for "not working". They then claimed, to understand my "feelings". Which was highly inappropriate and unprofessional, especially when directed towards a woman. As noted prior, they hired someone, shortly after my departure, for the role that I had recommended for me. Then within the last month hired a new "New Markets Analyst". Unfortunately, my issues did not end after working for Deployed Resources. I was unable to collect unemployment for the 26 weeks because they had not paid into the state's unemployment for more than 30 weeks after my layoff. Long story short, this is the worst company I have ever worked for and my savings was depleted due to my inability to collect unemployment. Honestly, for being laid off right before the holidays, I would have rather just received coals as my gift.

Pros

Great benefits. Many coworkers are great people.

Cons

Failed to plan for a gap in work, laying off people left and right that gave their heart and soul to just be treated like trash, while those responsible for not planning for the game sat there and told us don't worry. Cold, calculated and toxic. Terrible work life balance. Conflicting and chaotic direction constantly.

Pros

Able to travel Met great friends Somewhat good work environment

Cons

I got hired about 6 months ago, loved how it all panned out and I was able to take charge of my PM's and PC's. I was able to do what I wanted to do. At the end (June-July) we didn't have really any clear guidance of leadership from upper management. I was fired because I was trying to help someone train and I got written up for a B.S excuse. I do NOT recommend working for this company until the Senior Director of IT either gets fired or leaves.
