Good place for a few months of experience, not a career

Pros

You get health insurance and get paid on time. A good place to gain a lot of experience in a variety of jobs, only because the owner is trying to keep the overhead down.

Cons

This is not a place to grow into a career. The company as a whole has an extremely hostile and negative work environment. It is not family friendly. The owner primarily looks to recruit young employees fresh out of college in order to pay them less and work them more. Organization does not embrace diversity. Very limited time off and designated business holidays, vacations are allowed, however are rarely encouraged. The company has a lot of potential for growth, but management can't seem to focus and grow any new aspect of the business and frequently changes company direction.

Pros

Small company with great growth potential. You're able to mold your own path if you have the drive. Plentiful access to training to advance your career. Interesting work, with occasional travel, and interactions with a first class diverse client base. Coworkers were a great group of people. Very hardworking, driven, smart, friendly, and interesting. Beautiful office and a "cool" brand. Benefits include free health insurance.

Cons

As the company is small, the owner micromanages to the point of it being detrimental to the growth of the company. Owner pushes employees to work 60+ hours without breaks, threatens to fire you if you don't keep up this pace. Has unpredictable mood swings, and as a result the company has a very high turnover rate. There are some really great aspects to the company, but because of the owner it's not worth the stress and instability. Downside to benefits, only get 3 sick days and 1 week vacation.

Pros

You will learn a lot.

Cons

The company will push to pay you as little as possible and force you to sign a contract making it difficult to leave. I have seen the owner threaten to sue almost anyone who leaves the company. He is quick to hire young individuals new to the field, but you have little opportunity to grow and leaving the company on a good note is almost impossible. The owner takes pride in burning bridges and would rather spend money on the look of the company then invest in his top level talent. If you interview, don't get caught up in the glamour, there are plenty of better places you can find a career that will invest in you.
