Cons

- Lots of travelling - Schedule can be high pressure and busy - Minimal training (but this has been currently rectified)

Pros

- A fantastic boast to your CV if you are just starting out in teaching. - Great introduction to teaching in Hong Kong, and as a place to live (they give you advice upon joining company). - Great way to meet other expats and create a social life around your job commitments. - Good orientation week training to immerse yourself in the world of ESL. - Have a varied work schedule and meet students from all types of backgrounds in a range of schools. - Widen your CV - teach grammar in a secondary school, play games with kindergarten and then direct a drama performance in a primary school (sometimes done on the same day!) - Fantastic local staff who work very hard to ensure that all business operations run smoothly. - You leave the company with inspirational experiences and you know that you have made a difference in young peoples lives across the city. - You can share your passion for the arts in an education system that is robust and in-diverse.

Cons

- Pay (at the time I worked there) was not reflective of the market rate and there was an unfair bonus system in place. - Annual leave allowances were too low. - Staff morale was at times quite low and much can be done to improve trust between management and those on the ground delivering the service. - Some staff were expected to travel much more than others and at times, your commitment to the job was called upon and taken advantage of more than others.
